Think of it this way, Kobe is most likely the second greatest SG in NBA history.

Look how far away he is from Jordan's achievements, hell, even his stats.

Jordan averaged 37 points with 5 assists and 5 rebounds, shooting 50% from the field. That was one of his least efficient seasons. 27 shots a game.

Efficiency wise, his best season was in 95-96, with 31 PPG, 7 RPG, 5 APG on 50% FG, 44% 3P, 22 shots per game.

Kobe in 05-06 had 35 PPG, with 5 RPG and 4 APG on 27 shots per game. 44% FG.

However on career Kobe is nearly 6 PPG lower than Jordan in averages, and nowhere close defensively, averaging over 2 steals per game less than Jordan

Jordan has 6 Finals MVPs, a DPOY almost entirely from picking people's pockets, and was All-NBA first team both offensively and defensively for something ridiculous like 6 or 7 straight years

I could go on, but I would just start looking even more obsessed.

Basically, look at the canyon of difference between #1 and #2 at that position alone. The sheer body of work required to even start to be considered on the same page is so unfathomable I really doubt it will ever happen.

Shaq second most efficient scorer of all time with at least 12 years of service. If he would have retired about 4-5 years ago he would have had Jordan beat

Anyone comparing Rose to Jordan is an insult to Jordan. Only a fake Bulls fan would even make that claim. Bottom line, Rose (never made it past the second round) is not in the same zip code as someone who cannot fit all his champion ship rings on one hand, 5 MVPs, 6 Finals MVPs, and, oh by the way, an NCAA championship. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Rose will never equal that last one.

I know you are a new Bulls fan but you really need to do your homework and watch every playoff game of Jordan just to get a small idea of how much more Rose needs to do before he can be even nominated for the "Baby Jordan" title. Before BRoy started going down, he looked like he'd be where DRose is now...(a general observation, not to provoke Rhino into a statistical argument, though that is likely to happen)

...in other words, in the alternate universe where we're 1-year behind and BRoy is in a Bulls jersey (and hasn't yet hit the brunt of his injuries), Rhino would be dangling on another set of nuts.

Let him have his fun -- DRose is still fun as hell to watch. Though I'm beginning to hope for an ATL-MEM finals for shits and giggles.

I don't know, I don't really feel excitement towards any matchup...I think I just want Dirk to win, but ATL-MEM would be fun for the novelty of it all. Plus MEM showed us last game that it can make things exciting.

I wish Lebron would go down to injury so DWade can take over -- I'd then want the Heat in the finals. I think DAL-MIA is the most realistic finals matchup that I'd be excited to watch, although I'm always scared of DAL being as clutch as Smush Parker.
