Native Chicagoans are some of the most annoying people I've had the misfortune to hang out with. Not saying they're all like that, but out of probably my top 10 most annoying friends, 5 are from Chicago (not transplants, they were born there and grew up there split between west & north burbs, and in the city)

It's hard for me to keep 670 the score on for a full shift while i'm at work because of the chicago 'attitude' the hosts let bleed through during their shows, it's so fucking annoying. The way Rhinox comes off w/ the whole DRose thing is typical chicagoan.

Bernstein (B&B show, 2-6pm) actually breaks the mold to an extent, he's a native in-towner but destroys the callers who call up and try to bring this bullshit on his show, and it happens ALL THE TIME

The history of the cities though supports it (at least over the last 100 years). Part of why Chicago is called the "Second City". Chicago and New York were the big competing cities in the "skyscraper" age and then there is the pizza argument. Basically they have always competed and Chicago tried to deal with being "Second" to NYC.

(Note none of my opinion, I liked Chicago and Boston a lot more than NYC)
