Every game gotta listen to you bitches whine.

Better strategy for OKC instead of hoping for a favorable ref crew would be to not put a bunch of shooting guards to guard Dirk. And definitely don't try to reach in on him when he's posting up or try to block a fade away shot by a 7 footer. Those SG's deserved those fouls for stupidity alone.
I think the series is pretty evenly matched. Despite Dirk going god mode and getting to the charity stripe 24 times, OKC managed to keep it close. Westbrick had an off night. We can't expect that or Jesus Dirk to show up every game. You have to double Dirk and force others to beat you. I think all Dallas starters not named Dirk had like 2 points in the 1st quarter. Kidd is a little too pass happy. I understand that's his role but it looked like he gave up several direct paths thru the lane to kick it out. You have to take those when they are given. I can see this series going 7 with the home team winning every game.
Dallas defense was very rusty last night, that's the first time they have given up over 100 in the playoffs.
Don't expect Durant to go for 40 every night either.
Also, they played Westbrick exactly like they wanted and it worked perfectly. Have Chandler keep him out of the paint (or make him force the paint and put up bad layups) and take jump shots and watch him miss and get frustrated.
I think both teams defense will get better. End of the day though, OKC has no one to guard Dirk - Dallas will let KD get his and just focus on Westbrook.
SERGE IBAKA JUST NEED MORE DUNKS
They were in foul trouble because they fouled him. Their hands were on his wrist/elbow when he went to take the jumper, or they reached in for the ball. It's ticky tack but OKC should of realized that's how they were going to call the game from the first foul, Crawford is nothing if not consistent with his calls - Dirk realized it and exploited it.
KD gets the same fouls called when he takes jumpers. Yes, KD is a jump shooter just like Dirk.
Even the talking heads at ESPN are finally waking up to the fact that the Mavs are totally and completely reliant on Dirk. There is no Robin to Dirk's Batman. And yet this team seems poised to once again make it to the Finals. This team is better than the 06 one he dragged to there but the competition is also harder.
Daily Dime
He has always been able to tune out the naysayers who've questioned his ability to carry a team to a championship because he knows the truth: NBA law may dictate that Nowitzki bears the brunt of the blame for the Mavs' postseason failures because he is the face of the franchise ... but the reality is that no contender has a bigger drop-off from its best player to the rest than this one.
Even now, in the midst of his best run since the Mavs' glory (and ultimate heartbreak) of 2006, Nowitzki still isn't flanked by a second certifiable star like Durant is with Westbrook. Dallas is doing this with depth and a committee approach that no one else out there employs ... and Nowitzki is the first to say that the formula is working out better than these Mavs ever dreamed.
Nowitzki actually carried a lesser team than this one to the brink of a 3-0 lead in the '06 Finals before Dallas' unforgettable implosion against Miami. The problem now, though, as Nowitzki quickly points out, is that "the top teams in the league are better than [they were] back then."
years best games because the steelers always win in the last 30 seconds. the other 59 minutes consist of about 200 yards of total offense and tons of pushing and shoving and i am like this shit sucks. I will say that the steelers have become more tolerable to watch under Omar Epps, but they will have the boring stigma attached for a long long time.
LOL. You see it too? I'm like "Since when did Omar Epps coach the Steelers?"
and you are on fire lately, tyven. I am proud of you.
And fuck the Steelers/Ravens. I can't stand watching that boring ass football game. How someone can make a game that's like 10-6 with a combined 250 total yards between both teams.. 'exciting' is beyond me.
I would think you'd find 200 yards of total offense a damn fine offensive performance as a Redskins fan.
