If I hear one more mention about the refs from that game, 1 day gameday ban.
So, OKC shoots 19% more free throws but Dallas is getting all the calls.
This argument is fucking stupid. Point is, you can't stop Dirk, period. He's the most difficult to guard player in the NBA, and if his shot is falling you are fucked. If you want to beat Dallas you'd better not let JJ Barea drop 21 on you, or anyone else for that matter.
LOOK AT THE GAME TAPE!
This. They matched him up with Sefolosha, Harden, and even Westbrook at one point. All of them committed dumb fouls by either reaching in on a 7 footer who has them on his back or trying to block his fadeaway. I got no sympathy for that. Like Man0warr wrote, you know how the game is being called and they are too short so quit trying to poke the ball or block the shot. I'm surprised they didn't put Nate Robinson on him one on one.
Plus, OKC can't bitch about Dirk's 24 FTAs when they have Durant and Westbrook shooting 19 and 18 freethrows respectively. And yes, a lot of those were ticky tack as well.
I don't have a horse in this race. I would not mind either team winning the title because I like both teams.
Bottom line is that Dallas has someone (Marion) on their side with the quickness, length and defensive skills to bother Durant's shot but there is nobody on Dallas' side. Durant has the quickness and length but not the defensive skills. Ibaka and Perkins have the length and skills but not the quickness.
If OKC wants to keep Dirk in check then they better stop letting their guards take him on one-on-one in the post. They have to double him immediately. Scott Brooks had a dumb strategy and if they do it again in the second game then they deserve to lose the series.
As a Spurs fan, I totally noticed how badly they defended Dirk. I figured it was mostly because they havent seen Dirk all too much. Even still Dirk was draining shoots over Iblocka all night, when that guy is on fire, it is unstoppable. You have to make him work on defense and get him in foul trouble. Let Dirk shoot those one-footed fadeaways, and live with the fact that he makes them sometimes. It might be boring, but they should watch old footage of how the Spurs defended him.
is fabolos really on first and 10? holy shit why didn't i dvr this
wow his grill is fucked

David Kahn, GM of Timberwolves
"This league has a habit, and I am just going to say habit, of producing some pretty incredible story lines," Kahn said. "Last year it was Abe Pollin's widow and this year it was a 14-year-old boy and the only thing we have in common is we have both been bar mitzvahed. We were done. I told Kevin [O'Connor of Utah]: 'We're toast.' This is not happening for us and I was right."
LOL
If they got the first pick, they would have picked a PG again anyways.
Link's broken, but did the GM of the Timberwolves just say that the NBA draft lottery is anti-semitic?
yes, yes he did

Here's the link.

It would not make sense for him to claim the league was anti-semitic when he is noting that Dan Gilbert and he are both Jews. I think this is a "non-issue" issue that is going to get blown up out of proportion and he's going to get fined and apologize even though this is so much nothing.
If I saw I was going up against a special needs kid then I would be thinking I was fucked too. I basically make the same joke as Kahn did when I watch American Idol whenever some contestant comes in with some hard luck story. You just know they are going through to hollywood even though their voice is not that great.
Seriously, lotto night is starting to turn into a bad episode of hollywood squares. Next year we will see the kobe puppet, and the maloof's dog.
Loving following #dirkfoul and #foulsondirk right now on Twitter. Simply hilarious.
Someone remind me to ban Kaslo for the next OKC game.
