Thunder bench was awesome and Scotty Brooks made the smartest move all game by pulling Westbrook when he started to go into hero mode and left him out rest of the game.

maybe I'm overreacting but aside from penetrating(and maybe defense), Harden seems to be better than Westy in all facets
Harden isn't a PG. Maynor was in for Westbrook for like the last 1.5 quarters.
Jason Terry had an off night and no one else really picked up the slack.
yeah but Westbrook is basically a combo guard because he takes so many shots. the shots that normally would have been Westbrook jumpers were Harden jumpers, and Harden is a better shooter and smoother player
Wow 5 game series and OKC has homecourt!
Homecourt isn't really relevant, Mavs have best road record. Plus they won in the Rose Garden they can win anywhere.
Who will break the all Pro athletes avatar page?
I love how the national media loves to make something out of nothing. In Denver v. OKC it was "Russ and KD don't get along!" Now it's "Russ got benched and was angry!" Russ went out at a normal time and Maynor had a hot hand so Brooks stuck with it like he always has, and Russ was up cheering for his teammates the entire 4th quarter.
What did you expect him to do Kaslo? Voice his opinion then storm off the bench into the locker room to show his disgust with the coaches decision? They won and that should temporarily heal any wounds. After he was takin off the court, the cameras kept showing him and he was extremely mad. He was cursing the entire time. And the two teammates to his left and right seemed to just be watching the game, letting him vent. Kinda looked like he was talking to himself but you could see the anger in his face and how hard some of the words were coming out of his mouth. He's just passionnate and probably upset that he didn't contribute to the victory as much as he wanted to. He was all smiles after they won though. No harm, no foul.
Fact is, they were -12 with Westbrook in, and +18 with Maynor in. That's a 30 point turnaround for ONE player. Westbrick needs to get it together.
I'm going to assume that Brooks got so caught up with his bench doing well that he just kept riding them to the end. However, if he was trying to send a message to Westbrook, this was the wrong game to do it.
Westbrook's jumper was on last night. It seemed like he was making all kinds of outside shots. (I know the stats don't agree.) I think Brooks could have put him in and not lost anything last night. If he was trying to make a statement then he should have done it one of the many times during this playoffs when he was Westbrick.
What's funny is Kaslo is like the cheating boyfriend on cheaters who blames joey greco and cheaters for making a big deal out of someone cheating.
westbrook is the new TO
Not that it was super close at the end but if Kidd hadn't thrown it into the stands looking for Terry behind the arc, it would have been a 3 point game. Dirk got 3 free throws after that. Could have tied it up (missed one, would have been down by one. inb4 different circumstances/different outcome.) I think it was a smart move by Brooks. I don't think he was trying to send a message, I think he was trying to win. Westbrook was shooting decent from the field but had committed a turnover and forced shot that resulted in a miss on his previous 2 possessions. Brooks clipped Westbrook's cape before he had a chance to *try* to go into hero mode. It benefited his ball club. I would have rather seen Westbrook in trying to save the day and giving up the ball and forcing shots.
Even if Brooks was sending a message, it was brilliant. If anything, it tells Westbrook he doesn't have to be on the floor in crunch for his team to flourish. It should have been humbling and opened his eyes to a new avenue of winning. That's actually the last thing Dallas needs. Westbrook maturing during the series and not after from his couch. I think Dallas is in trouble if Westbrook stops playing so selfishly.

Lakers eying Mike Brown. I fully support this move. I also support the other rumor of them eying Mike Dunleavy. It would be nice to have the Lakers suck for a few years.
