I want to say trading for Melo is a bad deal for LA, but I'd find it hard to reject a straight up trade. You lose size, but it's not like you ever have it in the first place with how much time Bynum always misses.

I do think its funny how the Lakers went from "its just the regular season" to "WE NEED MELO, OR WE WILL LOSE" in about a week. I guess bad losses will do that. LOL. I wonder how Kobe will treat his successor? Probably how he treated Shaq and Pau.
Just need to throw a naked, sweaty Melo into the shower room alone while Kobe's in it.
Problem solved.
I don't think the Lakers are in trouble; I remember this same crap last year.
I'm just assessing whether or not the trade is a good idea. I think that Melo is a better bet than Bynum in the post-Kobe era, and I don't think short term impact is that bad considering how much time Bynum misses.
LA fans have griped about Bynum for as long as Bynum traded rumors been around, nothing new.
maybe. kobe really likes melo though, considers him his little brother. plus he's complained year after year about his teammates being too soft. kobe would love a guy who is one of the most aggressive scorers in the league.
there's no way it's not a good idea. it's not as good a fit as the lakers having bynum but jackson would definitely find ways to adjust. yes they give up size but carmelo is just as strong as ron and a far better rebounder. they lose some defensively of course but ron's producing so little that they get more out of carmelo than bynum.
it's not just that: think about it long term. carmelo will take off much of the burden kobe has year in and year out. with carmelo next to him kobe doesn't have to sublimate his defense for offense anymore and more importantly he gets to extend his career.
I heard Melo's wife used to be in love with Kobe. I hope Kobe doesnt follow in Parker's footsteps LOL
can you blame tony though?

Is that supposed to be a flattering picture? Looks like someone gave her a dirty sanchez...
No, hence why he said "can you blame tony" for cheating. She really isn't anything special, looks good with makeup but so do a billion other women.

this whole article is worth a read, but the entry on Mark Madsen especially is hilarious

Mark Madsen
Can't dance. Like, really can't dance. And that's OK. As fellow members of Rhythmless Nation 2011, we can overlook Madsen's inability to shake his moneymaker in a way that doesn't invite comparisons to Kate Gosselin's performance on "Dancing With the Stars." What we can't overlook is this: Madsen is a cyber-squatter.
Which makes him a dweeb.
Madsen played professional basketball. He's a millionaire. A Stanford alum. The world is essentially his oyster. Yet in his free time, he reportedly works as an Internet domain name speculator, a guy who buys names, then attempts to flip them for a profit.
¿Como?
According to the Los Angeles Times, Madsen has sold or tried to sell domain names ranging from carbohydrates.com to -- no joke -- registeredsexoffender.com. But wait. There's more! Fanhouse reported that Madsen cleared $21,000 in 2008 by hawking dozens of Canadian domain names -- including menstrualperiods.ca.
As such, we stand corrected. Madsen isn't a dweeb. He's a dweeb's dweeb. Even when he's eventually running Google -- make that google.ca -- his fundamental dorkitude will never change.
hahah yeah i'll never forget that. was watching game at a bar.
the postgame is hilarious too. got caught with his hand in the cookie jar LOL
How is Matt "The Red Rocket" Bonner not in the 3 point contest?
