That 1st Quarter in game 1 was the lowest combined score in NBA shot-clock history. I definitely don't take that game as a reflection of things to come lol

Dallas kept LeBron/Wade out of the paint almost the entire game (they pretty much have to do this to win) and their jump shots weren't going in the first 3 quarters. Neither were Terry/Peja wide open 3s, so frustrating.

Dallas can't win if their bench doesn't play like it has all year (and playoffs), that was a given coming into the series. If Terry and Peja are going to miss those wide open shots Dirk/JJ create they will lose, even if they make Miami shoot under 40%. It's impossible for Dirk to match the 50-70 points Heat's Big 3 is going to get every game, he has to have the same help he's had all year.

Their claim to fame is Terry Nichols and Timothy McVeigh putting in domestic terrorism work. Soon as Durant leaves that team will defect to Cuba or to Watts or some shit, wait and see.

Point being; hypothetical IFS, ANDS and MAYBES are fun. Hell, if John Kasay didnt kick the goddamn ball out of bounds in the Superbowl, Brady would have been denied a ring and Clutch would be in the HoF. Only IF that were the case.

Yeah, but Miami's D had nothing to do with the wide open 3s Dallas missed. Both teams played pretty well defensively.

Miami did a good job on Dirk and in the paint but they allowed Peja and Terry some great open looks on 3s that they just missed. Miami has been one of the worst 3FG defensive teams in the playoffs so it wasn't suprising. Most of Dallas' offensive plan is generating those wide open looks off Dirk/JJ double teams, they just didn't hit them last night.

It's an excuse, but also the facts. Dallas wouldn't be in the Finals if they didn't hit those same shots vs their last 3 opponents, and they can't win against Miami if they don't hit them. Miami is going to pack the paint and harass Dirk, Kidd/Terry/Peja have to hit those shots.

terry shot above his career and season 3pt averages in that game. his playoff averaqe so far for this year (including the lakers series) is a whopping 3% higher than his %age in that game. i know it's fun to fap to that one game against the kobes, but game 1 was very normal for him. peja 0/3 sucked but the team still shot above their playoff home average, which is way better than their normal road 3pt %age. this was a GOOD road 3pt shooting game for them, unless NBA.com's stats are fucked up or something.
