The Staggered pick-and-roll that Carlisle unleashed on the Miami defense in crunch time that won the game, giving Dirk and Kidd open 3s and led to both lefty layups.

My gut said Dallas in 6 before game one and it still feel like itll be Dallas in 6. Maimi has 2 of the top 3 players in the Finals..but from 3 to 12 Dallas outpaces the Heat by leaps and bounds.

Miami getting cocky, and jacking 3s let the Mavs get back into the game. Mavs scored like 8 points in a row cause of that. Then they did the staggered screens, while the Heat kept shooting jump shots, instead of driving in and getting fouls.

I think the collapse just proves Mavs have it in them to rally a comeback like that at any time, which so many people denied could happen to the Heat D. If Mavs win Game3 it won't be pretty for Heat, but if they lose I can see this going 7 games since both teams have the potential for upsets like last night.

The Mavs also ramped up their Defense in the last 7 minutes, after Dallas stopped their primary play on every trip down the floor, THEN LeBron went into Hero mode.

Outside of a nice 7 minute stretch, Miami has killed Dallas on defense. I don't expect that to change. I doubt Miami takes their foot off the pedal again.

The Heat's idea of offense in the clutch is for Bron to run down the shot clock to 5 seconds then jack up a 25 foot three pointer. In addition their win in Game 1 was due in large part to Chalmers playing out of his mind to hit three 3's; all of them came at key parts of the game when the Heat really needed a basket. Double digit scoring is a rarity not a regularity for anyone not named Bosh, Wade or James.

The Heat's defense is pumped up as great (with good reason) but Dallas's defense is pretty good too. They are one of the few teams that ran zones regularly thru the regular season. Aside from the occasional miscues, Dallas is doing a better than expected job of stopping penetration and forcing the Heat into shooting jumpers.

Bottom line, the matchup is not as lopsided as a lot of people think. I think either team has an equal chance of winning at this point.

That was evident prior to the season when a majority of people were critisizing LBJ for leaving to hook up with superstars to accomplish his goal instead of letting people come to him. Obviously I'm cheering for Dallas because I'm a fan, but if it was any other team, I'd cheer for them against the Heat because I don't want what Lebron did being a trend or something that should be put on a pedestal.

Can't win in your current situation?
    Wait until FA.
    Find (an)other elite player(s)
    ???
    Profit.

It's bad for the game. I would have loved to see LeBron win a championship. I just lost some respect for him after "The Decision" and his move to Miami. Plus 06 Finals, nevar forgit!

In other words, Dallas actually runs plays and Miami just says, "Wade or James, go out there and improv."

I was fine with he leaves Cavs. But the "The Decision" stuff just destroy his own image. And furthermore, if acuse by Gilbert is true...

Anyway, ppl always overlook something. E.g. it just like not until Pippen get the HoF, then many ppl always talk about MJ's successfulness in Bulls. But also when Pippen gets the HoF, many ppl never think that MJ is the one who tried to make Pippen becomes what he is. Not just simply came into Bull as what he is.

However, we can't blame some one who never attend college right?!

Yeah, the Heat average 16 3 point attempts a game. Dallas D has kept Wade/LeBron out of the paint in half-court for the most part and has forced 24 and 30 3PA's so far.

The Dallas zone is so good because the players know it so well by year 3 under Carlisle that they can shift in and out of zone even during a single possession. But they haven't been using it as much this series - more man to man with Marion on LeBron and Kidd/Stevenson on Wade.
