Hmm, thought I was supposed to be concerned.
Hmm, thought I was supposed to be concerned.
At this point I don't see a reason for them not to activate Caron Butler. Just give him Peja's minutes, he's very good defensively so even if he's not 100% he can't be worse than Peja.
I really can't seem to find any info anywhere, so I'll ask here: why the fuck isn't James Jones getting any playtime?
I think it's pretty clear these teams are evenly matched and can win on the road. The turnovers just kill Dallas because they match up well in the half-court(although Mahinmi replacing Haywood is a huge disadvantage), and the Heat are automatic on the break.
The Chalmers buzzer beater sure turned out to be huge.
What was huge was it shouldn't have counted. Back court violation and all.
Rhinox you just don't want to admit that Chalmers is one of the best young guards in this league.
I never buy that something like that actually has a definable effect on the end of a game. If he missed that, it doesn't mean that Miami loses by 1. How it would effect the game, we don't know, so I hesitate to say it was a huge (missed) call. Chalk it up to penance for the missed call on Marion.
I'd love to see this series with a healthy Caron Butler and fully integrated Beaubois. Maybe next year if the Mavs can hold off the Thunder a little longer.
Dallas wasn't supposed to make it this far, now the loss of Butler hurts so much. Before New Years that Mavs lineup was the best in the league statistically, they were beating every elite team they faced.
The teams are so evenly matched, except the Heat have 3 closers and the Mavs just 1. The turnovers leading to unstoppable points are what killed them, always having to play from behind makes it hard to stay in rhythm, every time they caught the Heat they would just get another small run.
I'm pretty upset watching some of the officiating, but dallas can play better. Really, shit calls all around on both teams for the series, and plenty of ones that needed to be made not. Mavs in 6 baby!
haha dallas lost
What the hell happened to Dallas's bench? The big "x factor" a lot of analysts were talking about has been mostly a nonfactor. Peja especially has been useless, but Terry and Barea haven't been great either. Also, wtf at all the turnovers.
Even given that, they only lost by 2. This is still a series, regardless of what people want to make about the team going up 2-1 always wins. Note: I'm not a fan of either team, just want to watch quality basketball. Although, Bosh is a bitch
Are you kidding me? The Mavs got every single call in the damn game. No sane person watched that game and thought the Mavs couldn't win it without all of the bullshit calls they were getting. The Heat get one lucky call and it's a game changer? lol gtfo
I AGREE WITH BOTH POSTS. every loose ball foul seemed to go against the heat, ever single wide open shot seemed to miss for the mavs. it was a fucking ugly ugly ugly game.
If so inclined, someone could point out here that Dirk hit at least 4 free throws on the barrage of "over the back" calls. Not saying I'm the type, but if they wanted to argue technicalities, there's an argument to be made there too. Hence why I prefer taking the position that they'd have been playing differently if down 1 instead of up 2, meaning a what if turns into another what if, which is only useful when trying to kill time between games
