Not even close. Rose is a preemie and Lebron is a toddler compared to Jordan. When Lebron gets some hair on his chest (Larry O'Brien strand), then he'll go thru puberty and be a pre-teen. No one is touching Jordan. Plow said it best. Jordan dominated when the league had fierce fierce competition.
but.. but.. Wilt averaged 50 a game! Clearly that means he was best, guys!
I have never seen anyone play as hard as Tyson Chandler. Man do I get fired up for that guy this series.
That final quarter was the worst 4th quarter I've seen in NBA Finals history.
Nah, Melo doesn't choke quite as much as Dirk/Bron like to.
Hard to choke sitting on a couch.Nah, Melo doesn't choke quite as much as Dirk/Bron like to.
In regards to being a triple double threat sure. But LeBron is no where near Magic when it comes to PG ability. James draws a lot of attention that makes it easy to dish out for assists, but that's the same of most of the current elite PGs.
Magic was so much more than that. He had actual passing talent far more than simply drive-n-dish. LeBron can make full court fast-break passes to Wade, Magic made full court bounce passes through entire teams to people like Kurt Rambis. He is probably the one player the Mike Brown "Uh give it to X and let him decide what to do" offense could win a championship with.
Wade in the 06 Finals is the closest to Jordan we have seen.
Please don't slight LeBron's passing ability. His passes may not have the flash that Magic's did, but he makes tough passes look easy with his incredible strength and athleticism. He has made some perfect passes in the clutch in these finals alone(see: inbounds pass to Chalmers, the great flick to Bosh to win game 3).Originally Posted by Gredival
James is a very good passer but Magic had probably the greatest court vision in the league's history and plenty of creativity
LeBron's game is closer to Magic's than Jordan's though, Bron doesn't post and can't move away from the ball like Jordan did. Bryant is really the only one who's been close, which makes sense since he admits he modeled his game after Michael and they have very similar builds
Both Kidd and Nash make some ridiculous passes too. At this stage of his career, Kidd just seems to see the game 2-3 steps ahead of everyone else, like the game has slowed down just for him.
On the note that Wade's 06 Finals was the closest to Jordan we've seen.. yeah, I agree, and the sick thing is.. he was close, but still not Jordan, and Jordan did that five more times.
Wade got a foul call the second he got into the paint during 06 though.
