I'll say this though. The nets will win a NBA championship before the knicks.

The nets owner runs circles around jim dolan any day of the week. Especially since he has that cancer in Isiah Thomas whispering in his ear.

Right now we're miles better, but I'm not afraid to admit that Dolan and Isiah are cancers.

And let's not kid ourselves. The Jazz had a pretty solid squad out in Utah and Deron went and fucked it all up. If he can't play under sloan I don't think Avery Johnson will help much either

Raptors get Johnson from Bulls for 1st-round pick

By MIKE CRANSTON, AP Sports Writer Feb 22, 8:30 pm EST

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)—The rebuilding Toronto Raptors got even younger on Tuesday by acquiring second-year forward James Johnson(notes) from the Chicago Bulls for a first-round pick in this year’s draft.

The Raptors worked out the versatile former Wake Forest before the 2009 draft before the sophomore was selected by the Bulls with the 16th pick. The Raptors gave up the first round pick they acquired from Miami in the Chris Bosh(notes) sign-and-trade deal. They still own their own pick, which will almost certainly end up in the lottery.

“James Johnson is a strong, athletic and versatile small forward that we have had our eyes on dating to the 2009 draft,” Raptors general manager Bryan Colangelo said in a statement.

The 6-foot-9 Johnson has had a limited impact, playing in 78 games over two seasons and averaging 3.8 points and 1.9 rebounds. After failing to crack Chicago’s rotation he recently served a stint in the NBA Development League.

Johnson could make his Toronto debut against his former team. The Raptors host Chicago on Wednesday night.

“I consider J.J. a little brother,” Bulls center Joakim Noah(notes) said. “He wasn’t playing a lot. I hope he gets an opportunity to get out there on the court and show what kind of player he is.”

While the surging Bulls get a late first-round draft pick, the move gives struggling Toronto another prospect as it starts over following Bosh’s offseason departure.

Coach Jay Triano hinted earlier Tuesday that any moves the team makes before Thursday’s trade deadline “would be to help this team in the future.”

Johnson will join a team that was 15-41 before Tuesday’s game against Charlotte.

“I always liked his game when he was at Wake Forest,” said Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan(notes), who was in the same draft class with Johnson. “You never know. It could work out great for him and be a great pickup for us. We hope so.”

AP Sports Writer Andrew Seligman in Deerfield, Ill., contributed to this report.

I'm glad the Jazz decided to fuck Deron before he fucked them. I heard he found out about the trade via ESPN. LOL
It will be tough for the Jazz to sell this team to their fans, but it does show them that they are trying, cause everyone knew Deron was leaving ASAP. Now Deron is super pissed he has to play for the NJ Niets.

WASHINGTON (AP)—The struggling Hawks were finalizing a deal to acquire guard Kirk Hinrich(notes) from the Washington Wizards, upgrading the Atlanta backcourt for the playoff run, a person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal had not been announced, said the Hawks would receive Hinrich and forward Hilton Armstrong(notes) in exchange for guard Mike Bibby(notes), rookie guard Jordan Crawford(notes), swingman Maurice Evans(notes) and a first-round pick in this year’s draft.

WTF did the hawks just do? Why do that trade?

I wouldn't really give a shit other than the fact that I like Crawford and the 1st round pick... ok yeah idk

it's honestly a moot point since we wont be competing for a championship with Joe Johnson making the max and no legit PG

the reasoning is that Hinrich is much better than Bibby, which is true. Evans has been utter garbage and Crawford doesn't get any minutes

Seriously hope this rumor is true, give up nothing and get Wallace? Sign me up.

Also I like the deal for the Hawks. Bibby is old as hell, it's time to move on.
