    I think the East is alot more interesting than the West, and Im a SPURS fan. Maybe im just interested to who the spurs will play in the finals. Spurs have some big games Friday(heat) and Sunday(lakers) this week.

    The West has always been boring, even when they were good.

    The East has real rivalries, the West just has the Lakers/Spurs and maybe OKC when they learn how to win.

    Even Kobe Bryant's most ardent admirers often chafe at the way he forces long two-point shots. With the man's ability to wriggle his way toward freedom closer to the hoop, and especially with his Jordan-esque gifts in the post, why does Kobe always want to seem to chuck those long two-point shots? And complain endlessly when they don't go in?

    Apparently NBA referee Eli Roe is an "ardent admirer" of Kobe, because he was not happy with the Laker guard's chirping following another long miss against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.

    That's right, "make the shot." Kobe made eight of them, in the win, but on 22 attempts (36.3 percent from the floor).

    seems it would be a smart idea to take long jumpers if you can get fouled and get no call on a drive to the basket no? especially when the drive involves significant risk of injury

    When you have a team that has a very large fanbase, you are going to run into a lot of annoying fans. I myself am a Lakers fan and I have run into/heard a lot of people who make us look bad. They will call into the local sports radio show and blame the refs for a loss instead of sucking it up and admitting to the loss, and then on the flip side feel that the Lakers are untouchable after a win even by 1-2 points. Of course there are fans like this with every team, but I have never seen as many in basketball except when it comes to the Lakers.
