So how did the Spurs go from being the most fundamentally sound and boring team in the league to a team that chucks 32 threes in one game?
Overtime overdose in Los Angeles.
Congrats to Blake Griffin on his first career triple-double.
Except Dirk takes about 4 less shots a game and is shooting at 53% right now. There is no way you can call Dirk selfish, he is easily the most efficient scorer in the NBA. He's the only player (again) in the top 20 of every major shooting statistic.
Neither of them play defense.
I wasn't bringing up personality, statistically Carmelo is greedy with the ball, check the blackhole stats on Basketball reference. He's been that way since highschool. He also doesn't play defense, proven many times over. Not a huge deal, the majority of superstars in this league play average or worse defense.oh and lol @ bringing up on court demeanor and personality into MVP debate
I think the Knicks proved my point themselves again tonight, enjoy being sub .500. Meanwhile the 3 guys you traded to Denver are 10-3 since and just beat the Spurs. The Nuggets are actually scoring more and playing better defense than when they had Carmelo, funny that.
Also, I don't think Dirk deserves the MVP, only that he's in the conversation. Only one who should win it is Howard.
Did you watch the game?
Karl did a great coaching job. He trapped Manu and Parker wherever they touched the ball, then sunk in the defense to avoid penetration, so the only open shot the Spurs had was 3s. The Nuggets are deep enough to where he can trap with a small and a big, and let a small forward and a wing roam around looking for passing lanes. With that altitude and a full trap zone, most teams will have issues winning there. Overall, it was an amazingly entertaining game to watch. I just wish the outcome was different. BTW, when Antonio fouled out, that was the first time all year a Spur had fouled out. The Spurs rarely foul, unless its Shaq. LOL
More Rose/Westbrook debate:

Its good to see that not all writers are wearing rose colored glasses. LOL @ thier shooting %. But, but they create rebounds with all those misses.
It's getting pretty old. It's the same tired argument. The MVP isn't based entirely on numbers otherwise Moses Malone would have 6 or 7 and Jordan would have 10+
Meanwhile tim Duncan Steve Nash and kobe Bryant would not have won it

What's funny is for every article or blog Kaslo post I can find 3-4 that makes the case for rose. Seems like only the writers who want attention do the opposite at this point

Honestly, who cares what sportswriters and broadcasters think? It's a popularity contest and nothing more. Let the players vote on who's most valuable. That would be a more meaningful award.
You are just as bad posting an article from big media market chicago writer stool jackson. Of course he thinks his guy is the MVP. The bulls would still make the playoffs without rose, but the magic wouldnt without howard. He is more valuable to his team. Or does most valuable mean making money in big markets? lol
Scoop Jackson is not a Chicago writer lolol

I don't think I've posted anything that hasn't been more along the lines of "Yeah Rose is the MVP, but give Westbrook some hype too."
Apparently anyone being close to Rose is blasphemy.
