    Stygian Spikes as sub was giving me over 14MP back per hit from Puk in limsa lominsa as R10 Ranger. it last long same as Thaumaturge as main.

    does protect suffer anything when subbed? Is it worth it?

    Protect is a waste of AP when I have better options available from what I can see >.>;

    Protect and Shell are both crazy powerful, dude is obviously playing a different game.

    When subbed, the only thing that I can noticing changing is its duration... around 5m.

    Syphon TP drains 600 TP instead of 750 when used by a CON. It still gets a bonus on dead mobs, going up to 830 or so.

    Agreed. Probably the most powerful spells/abilities in the game that I've seen so far. Nothing compares.

    Bumping this cos I feel like it. I've yet to notice a subbed ability/spell that did not suffer from an exact 20% increase in recast time. 10 second WS's become 12, 30 second spells become 36. Can we confirm that this is the case across the board for everything?

    I was under the impression that it was a 20% efficacy hit and a 25% longer recast time across the board. I'm almost positive punishing barbs is on a 3:45 recast when subbed, and second wind is a 1:15 recast. I think sometimes the cooldown counter takes a few seconds off(I'm assuming due to lag), since a lot of the 10s weapon skills will immediately start counting down from 6 or 7 seconds sometimes.

    Second Wind recast is 50% increase subbed.

    Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I noticed that if I equip the +10 affinity trait for CON on THM, I can use Tranquility. It's on a 20 minute instead of 10 min timer and only recovers 5% MP instead of 50% though. The same is true if I equip the THM affinity trait on CON.

    So it seems like you can use class specific abilities with affinity traits. Might be useful for say Speed Surge and the lancer trait on other melee jobs.

    When (if at all) can you get access to another affinity trait. I'm interested in seeing how this works at 100 affinity.

    Wow that's terrible with low affinity.

    A LNC in NI tried using speed surge 2/1 on pug and it starts blinking the moment it's used. He said it's not worth it yet. Just confirming it's as bad for melee abilities with low affinity

    How long does Speed Surge last in the first place? Depending on how fast the blinking is, it could mean it's wearing off in anywhere from 15sec to 30sec. 30 seconds doesn't even sound bad considering most buffs don't even last that long on their appropriate classes.

    Do classes start out with 100 affinity in their own weapon? That was my understanding.

    What rank/class are you using? I checked this last night, and it's only 1:15 recast, or 25% increase on my Thm.

    Have you tried to see if the affinity trait affects skills that can already be cross classed? For example, as a THM with the +10 CON trait equipped, what is the recast on something like say, Profundity?

    It was 2m, now 3m i think.

    Prior to patch lasted 17s with +10 affinity.
