Local leves

It pops up a warning before you commence the Leve that "Warning: You cannot earn guild marks on your currently assigned class" "Commence/Abort" or something along those lines. As long as you switch to the appropriate class before you kill the first mob in the leve, you're safe. I've been getting GLD marks a ton that I don't really care about, so I've been playing around to see at what point it truly registers you as the wrong class for the purpose of earning the marks. As long as you switch before you engage the first mob and stay on the class for the duration of the leve, you're fine.

I'm blind apparently, guess I'm in to big of a rush to get far far away from Aethers.

Has anyone had trouble with a local leve not falling off your list after a failure? I bit off more than I could chew on one and now it just sits there in my current leves. I talk to the person that would complete the quest and ask her but all she says is basically 'hurry the hell up with my items'. But I don't have any mats left, so no way to complete it. Just want it off my list to make room for others.

May be a stupid question but this is the only way I've gotten them to go away. Did you use up all the mats they gave you?

So far I've only failed a local leve once and it disappeared.

I used all the mats as well.

Only seen a local leve disappear from my list if a) I failed to meet the quota and used up all of the materials, or b) met the quota and turned the items in to the NPC.

Perhaps some local leves require you to speak to the NPC so they can scold you for fucking up?

Curious; Has anyone ever gotten marks from any leve pre rank 15? I doubt it, but if they did it would make doing rank 1-10 worth it.

I've yet to get marks from a single leve, and I've done 8 every time its available ;/ Marks don't like me.

You have to do the leeve with the class the mark are for if you want to get them, otherwise you dont get them.

Example : if I'm pug and I do a leeve for marauder guild mark I wont get any, but if I do one for pug I'll get some.

It actually warms you before you select the leeve.

Does that mean you have to be on the class when you start it or when you complete it?

Both for local leves and regional leves.

I heard that you can only get Guildmark from leaves for crafting jobs when you take them in the city of the craft

Exemple I heard that Weaver can only get Weaver's mark if thye take the local leave in Uldah

Can anyone confirm that?

When I got Weaver marks, it was from a 20 leve in Ul'dah, but the other I did in LL didn't give me any. It'll be easy enough to prove if someone gets marks, but so far it seems this way.

False. I've received Carpenter's Guild marks from a Limsa Lominsa leve.

I've gotten marks for leather in LL.

Are you sure that marks are 20+ only? I can't remember if I got my first marks on a 20 or a 15....
