Error (40000)3

Just started getting this error today, during a Botanist leave in Camp Emerald Moss, thought it was just a simple DC but now it's happened 4 or 5 times now continuously.

I'm able to log in fine, player menu gives me no trouble. Once I get into the game I am able to control my character for about 3 seconds then I receive this error. Once I accept the error, it proceeds to take me to the "13001" Loby server error. And continues to give me the error until I shut down FFXIV and re-log from the beginning.

I thought servers had possibly gone down, but on my 4th try there was other players still fighting mobs, so I'm not quite sure whats happening but any suggestions would be welcome.

I've tried logging on both my computers and receive this same error, which leads me to believe its either something I'm doing wrong to log in, or it's something linked with my account?

I got that two weeks ago twice, Kai. I think it has to do with them prepping the servers to go down. It went away once I updated post-patch, but I was nervous as well back then.

Not really advice, but hopefully that helps.

I tried logging on his account to see if it would go through, but I got a server error when I tried to jump on his account. (Although I think he might be playing in class again so we might just keep kicking each other off) So not sure- but how long did it take yours to start working again?

I've been getting this error too I figured it was something to do with my ISP but guess it's server side.

I first encountered this problem about 6 hours ago. I also log back in with (40000)3 and see some people either dead or standing around. I was somewhere in North Forest north of the camp, I believe, in the big "room". I think the problem can happen to people on any server, but it's interesting for me to see that Anthonystar was also doing a Botany Levequest when it happened to them, as I was doing "Logging Emerald Moss" myself. Lucavi above said maybe it's because they are prepping server maintenance, and they are indeed getting ready to do that tonight. I wonder if one or both of those factors are the culprit. In any case.. I hope we all get this problem fixed soon!

I'm near Camp Emerald Moss. I'm able to log on for a split second, I can see people around me for a moment, and that errors pops up and i'm disconnected.

Hmmm, well thanks for the input, must be linked to the area and/or Botanist leave/battlefield leave(although I don't know if Soap was doing a leave or not when he encountered a d/c).

But tried again just now (5ish hours later) and same thing happens. There seems to be about 6 people around me dead as well. I know the area I was passing through had a few wolfs and a roseling so not sure if they died during there d/c and now there bodies are stuck. But yeah ; /

I'll try again after maintenance and hopefully they've fixed the issue.

I'm getting the same error too. I d/c when I saw the spider around the Emerald Moss Area. There was a lot of dead bodies and some people just standing still when I tried to ran by them..

SE seems to be aware of it;

Oh! They made an announcement about it! (Thank you Aglaia.) I hope they find the solution! That's interesting it only happens in Saronia. I made the wrong assumption that all servers would have the same problem, but now I notice that all of you are from my server as well and it's probably just Saronia. I guess the botany Leve had nothing to do with it then, just the area. Good luck everyone!

Yeah I was with Soap and Kulgan on the way to Mun-Tuy Cellar when that happened... Haven't been able to log on all day. :/
