    Best format for 360 streaming

    I'm using PMS to stream movies to my 360 but i always run into the issue of stutters and pauses because of transcoding going on. So my question is which format should I convert these movies to so that it has to do as little transcoding as possible. The files are also bluray quality which i know is causing the issue since theyre so large.
    thanks

    Code:
    Q: What does the Xbox 360 console support for H.264?

    A: The Xbox 360 console supports the following for H.264:

        * File extensions: .mp4, .m4v, mp4v, .mov, .avi
        * Containers: MPEG-4, QuickTime
        * Video profiles: Baseline, main, and high (up to level 4.1)
        * Video bit rate: 10 Mbps with resolutions of 1920 × 1080 at 30 fps. See the question about max bit rate, resolution, and frames per second.
        * Audio profiles: AAC, 2-channel, Low Complexity
        * Audio max bit rate: No restrictions. See the question about max bit rate, resolution, and frames per second.
    If you have the files in these formats, the movies will not be transcoded on the fly, they will simply be steamed to your xbox.

    I'd think .wmv wouldn't need transcoding at all, possibly .mp4 as well, but I think it needs to download a license to support .mp4.
