so easy to respec though. Eo1 still the hardest by 3 is enjoyable with a good bit of difficulty still there

Wasn't me, though oddly enough I did play this weekend. I was talking about someone making it to winner's finals of a tournament then getting essentially perfected in brawl.

legitimate question: what is jv4?

In brawl, your new stock (life) technically doesn't get considered as begun until you actually take damage. Since you don't actually have that extra stock on screen though you can't actually count it as an extra stock so if you beat someone with 1 life left, they got 1 stocked. If you beat them with 1 life left but that life is at 0% (no damage) they call it a JV 2 stock. Since you start a brawl match with 3 lives, getting JV4 stocked means the opponent did absolutely 0 damage to you in any way shape or form whatsoever. Up until this weekend, no one in the history of a brawl tournament match has had this happen to them, even the worst of scrubs against the best players in the game. The person in question was good enough to essentially be guaranteed third place but then managed to get wholly outclassed by his opponent, all while using meta knight, the single best character in the game.
