This is a DC Galago (Green icon), I'm a 13 Marauder, with 97 accuracy. My Bronze Labrys is at about 60% wear, though majority of my armor is in pretty bad shape (not that I've been able to find anything because of this shit system SE wants). This shit is pretty damn common for me to the point I sometimes barely survive EP mobs.

Yup, that's normal. Get better gear and repair your weapon more often.

Very normal, and it pisses me off. Even with Still Precision on Gladiator, my accuracy against green stuff sucks. I get killed by green arbor squirrels all the time. It is god damn ridiculous.

Wow...so you have to repair your shit every 2 days just so EP mobs dont make you their bitch? Yeah...i think you said it best, goddamn ridiculous, especially considering repair NPC's (afaik) only repair to 50% (of which most of my gear is above that threshold).

Gear damage makes a big difference and upgrading your weapon makes a world of difference.

And clearly, as been stated, you have to repair your gear very very very often. And my weapon is upgraded, I said I'm a 13 marauder using a Bronze Labrys.

Not that there's any static rate of needing repair... just repair it when, you know, it's damaged. "Gear Damage" and "Heavy Gear Damage" reduce the stats of a piece of equipment. 50%~100% durability males no difference

Repairing is no joke. I have kept my weapon updated too. I'm r20 and I have my R19 weapon and have since last level. I never use the weapon that's a tier up at all. The gameplay issue I have with it is that I don't wanna hafta level BSM to keep my damn weapon repaired. They degrade incredibly fast and I just know it will not be adjusted in any significantly positive way.

Weapon durability needs to be adjusted dramatically. 30-60 mins xping and you're at 50% easy. If you don't have a craft to fix it you're pretty screwed. Not as bad as in CB, but still needs to be adjusted, especially with this horrid SP gain system.

Equipment wear needs to be reduced by about 50-75%, then it will be at an acceptable level.

What he means is that there's no difference in the 50-100% bracket, only below you will start to see worse results.

"Gear Damage" is at 25%~49% durability
"Heavy Gear Damage" is at 0%~24% durability

It's not a smooth gradient. If you're shit is at 50% or higher durability, its stats will not be affected. It's not just a warning to tell you that it's getting low, it's literally telling you "your shit is now officially busted to the point where it's beginning to suck."

I would love them to just scrap the whole gear damage idea, waste of everyone's time and gil.

I disagree, gear damage is a nice gil sink and no different than any other gil sink if done correctly. Problem is, it's just not done correctly.

Gear damage sucks. Everything about it is a pain. You can't easily see what fucking piece of gear is damaged without going on a treasure hunt in your inventory.

If they reduce the rate by a bit, and create more obvious and immediate indicators of durability, gear wear will be fine. I don't recall people flipping their shit about it when other RPGs implemented it.

That's a common sight on my marauder too, especially with mobs like monkeys you were fighting there. At 20+ I'm sitting at somewhere around 120 acc (cba to check the exact number right now) with 4 brass rings and Iron War Axe and I still whiff like a maniac. I fix every piece of my gear in a regular basis, except for undergarment, which is impossible to repair by yourself, but I don't think undergarment makes a shit of difference anyway, they've been 0 dura since like rank15 cause I just couldn't be bothered anymore.

Yeah, the gear that's broken only affects itself. You're just losing out on like a total of Elemental Resistances +13 and some tiny defensive stats from your underwear. You could pay the NPC a total of like 200 gil to repair them to 75% without taking them off.
