Philosophy

We at Onion Knights strive to create, above all, tight-knit friendships and a comfortable, enjoyable atmosphere for all. It is our desire to make this a group that our members will be proud to call home. Some of us have very casual play-styles, some of us are more dedicated, but no matter how you plan to play you can be assured that there will always be someone online to greet you and to play with you.

Time Zones

Surprisingly, we are also a group that has members across the globe – from California to Germany, Texas to Britain, London to Tokyo. It’s our goal to fill our ranks with EU and NA players so that our diverse linkshell can span the time zones with fun events and silly activities. For this reason our recruitment can, at times, be more specific to a certain region.

Events

Currently we run events on Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons, and Sunday afternoons. In the future we plan to expand this to three or four nights a week so that more people can take part in these activities. We always have a blast while we’re out, even if we’re dying to 3-star Wights or Bloodshore Behests. One of our mottos is the old adage, “you reap what you sow,” and that our members will be more excited when they’re actually doing what they want to be doing. To keep members engaged and coming back we try to always have fun with what we’re doing while also completing our tasks. Also, we’ll never force you to come to an event, but we’ll always be more than happy to have you join us.

Progression

Of course, we believe that progression is a key element to the game, and a lot of us are striving to be ahead of the curve. We have a lot of members that craft and gather so that, should you want a piece of gear, you only have to ask (and offer them some love, too). We also have a lot of people focusing on Disciples of War and Magic in order to keep their skills honed and be able to take down the big, bad monsters once they’re out. Despite all of this, we’re not necessarily a group driving for endgame content, so even if you plan to play at your own pace it’s fine. We’re not ever going to force players to put in X numbers of hours into the game or reach X rank by X date. Again, we want our players to be doing what they want to be doing, and we know that in time we’ll all reach the end together.

Endgame

Onion Knights will do some kind of endgame when the content is available and we have the numbers to tackle the challenges. As this is far in the future, though, we don’t have anything else to say about this topic at this time. Look forward to it, I guess?

Recruitment

Currently we're not limiting our recruitment and we're accepting applications from North American, European or Japanese-based players. To apply, please sign up on our forum and submit an application. From there we can give you instructions on how to get a linkpearl and join in on the fun.

At this time we won't force you to stick to one linkshell. It's been up for discussion though and might change once we'd start doing endgame content, however for obvious reasons this is quite far away. We'll ask for some sort of dedication from our members though and if we see people simply using the linkshell as some sort of stepping stone to get higher up we'll do something about it.

Some of us has been here for a long time now and working together is important to us so it's definitely something we'll want to see from new members as well. Be it through leveling, crafting or simply using the linkshell for talking. Which is why we've changed our application template a bit to find members that actually show a genuine interest for our group.
