SE really had no choice at this point to roll his head but at the same time I'm skeptical of this new inexperienced guy. Sounds like he could be another Obama. Delaying the ps3 release was a good decision though and if that's his first one he's off to a good start.

I don't think the global online producer was changed. They would have probably announced his successor if he was replaced.

I'm glad they posted this. I had a previous post a while back about the player base just being "customers" to them and even they agree per the post. With that being said, it's all about money and right now, they are floundering and if they don't right the ship, it's going down like the titanic!

If the last year of FFXI is any indication, getting some new people in the development team might just be the best thing that happen to this game.

Though really, I think it's a lost cause for this point, I mean there were other MMORPG that didn't fail this fucking hard and still got lost to obscurity in months after its release. I'd imagine that over the last few games, FF brand name doesn't hold the same value it used to. Name alone isn't gonna sell this game, all they have is just an incredibly broken game that you'd need a high end computer to run, good fucking luck with that.

Tanaka wasn't any good?

He was the original game designer for the series. He also dipped his hand in the Mana series and Xenogears, some revered classics.

I mean sure, he was involved in Xenogears, then again, he also was involved in FFII, Chrono Cross, FFLII, and for better or worse, the first 8 years of FFXI

Wada would agree with you. He has openly commented that he fantasized about getting rid of the "old employees". Probably because new ones can be paid cheaper.
