I actually didn't think mioko's post said that at all, and I usually go against 99.9% of things he/she says lol. Mioko won't defend the faults, he just defends SE because he thinks (as any normal person would) that they will fix all these things. He is on the small minority who will stick w/the game because they want to be ahead of the curve when everyone comes back to a finished product

Yes, for your pride, please ignore every time I say I agree with most of their main points and only focus on when I say they are generally retarded and exaggerating small issues or embellishments based on personal preference.

Yeah i take that back him not defending the faults, he does that to the extreme by saying it only bothers hardcore players.

And yes, reviews have been spot on. There is no way to deny it. Reviewers are being comedians because the game is so launch bad its laughable. reviews have been perfect down to the graphics score. Game may look pretty, but a massive amount of copy/pasted terrain & horrible performance even on awesome rigs hurts the score. Game is to CPU dependent and anything more then 10 or so ppl on the screen starts to become a CPU bottleneck since the "future proof" game only runs on 2 cores. I have SLI'd 480's and a i7 965 @ 3.9 and I still get shitty performance in towns so I don't call that a well optimized game

I could point out so too many things in that BFF Report that were obvious exaggerations by him trying too hard to be funny, being a complete idiot, being completely unfamiliar with any game that isn't WoW, or any combination of the 3.

How many of you kept running into the end of the 'stage' when you got control of your character in the Limsa Lominsa intro and didn't immediately understand you couldn't walk/jump off of it?
How many of you decided to repeatedly mashed the attack button every single attack and then bitched about the "bzzt" noise the game makes when you push something that has no function/result?
How many of you decided not to read when the NPC specifically said Camp Bentbranch/BlackBrush/BeardedRock was RIGHT OUTSIDE THE CITY GATES?
How many of you thought it was incredibly stupid that your first quest in an RPG was to kill some rats?
How many of you heard someone crafting behind you and got annoyed at not understanding what the noise was without even looking around.
How many of you could not immediately understand that levequests = quests?
How many of you wouldn't understand what a "linkshell" was, without playing XI, even though the Linkshell-distributing NPC specifically explains it to you?
How many of you sarcastically say "oh, I guess it's talking to me" when the NPC Linkshell is explaining in detail how to embark on your first Guildleve?

Even an idiot like him can point out the gigantic, glaring issues like the Market Wards, Skill Point gains, lack of alternate transportation, and lack of content... but that's all been discussed to death amongst these boards and pretty much agreed upon (aside for a ridiculous few) and that doesn't make it alright for some asshole trying to act like an objective critic to embellish tiny things that are pretty common amongst a number of RPG titles. What?! No auto-attack?! Preposterous! No jumping?! Absurd! A TUTORIAL BATTLE WITH NPC SUPPORT JUST TO KEEP YOU ALIVE OR FIGHT IF YOU PICKED A CRAFTER/GATHERER CLASS? NO WAY CAN'T BE NEVER HEARD OF IT.

It's like he's looking over at his WoW buddies at each joke comment, hoping they laugh because he made fun of XIV not having something that WoW has. Yes, we get it.

I just think any self-proclaimed reviewers/critics/etc. of anything have some sort of... duty to leave out the subjective bullshit a majority of the time, unless noted as preference. This video was wrought with it. Hence why I think he's a douche. Though, I suppose his target audience is probably full of morons like himself... so no harm done.

I have to say, I've had a few spats with Mioko myself, but he isn't praising it in any sense of the word.

He's openly conceding the biggest issues, and just saying that he doesn't happen to feel that a lot of the smaller issues that bother a lot of the rest of us are issues worth complaining about at this point.

Do I agree? Not really, if we ignore the smaller issues in favor of the larger, then they'll never get recognition, and a lot of small problems is a big problem. But I can see where he's coming from, so even if I don't necessarily agree, I'll disagree on each point separately, and argue it into the ground if I feel it's warranted. Based on it's own merit, of whether that "problem" is worth complaining about/arguing over.

I'm all for a good argument/debate, but lets keep things in perspective. Calling him a covert SE employee or that he's just singing their praises isn't accurate.
