Name one creepy thing about having pics of a fine girl of legal age in your sigatar, plenty of people do it... it's just in her case she's smiling and wearing clothes instead of posing for a magazine in a bikini.
If that's what makes all the difference then this is one fucked up world.
There's really nothing else to say to you except you're a complete idiot. Have you ever had a job? Been outside in the real world? Let's say you go to burger king and get a burger, and there's a hair in it or they don't give you what you want. Do you go back and complain to burger king and ask for a new burger? Yep. Let's say you have the most awesome burger in the world from the same burger king, do you go back and praise them on their work? No.
Those scenarios apply to most average people, yet you're calling people stupid for complaining about a shitty product that they bought?
You're a complete and utter moron.
The general community is nearly just as bad with FFXI. I don't know why people always talk about WoW's being bad. There's a damn good reason I mostly avoided HNM's when I played, high quality douchebags in end-game competition, like Daakpunk. FFXI forces people to get along a LITTLE bit more, that's about it. Both have terrible communities because welcome to the generation of entitlement and douchebaggery.
What were you doing in the game and what are you looking for in the game? Because it takes me a while to get into any game (I actually spent a few months getting into WoW slowly on my brothers account first, then finally got my own account later on) and WoW didn't instantly click for me. Hell, I ragequit WoW because of the fucking twinks because I needed to get that PvP gear my first time playing on a friends account. So glad that got removed from the game, mostly.I gave WoW 3 tries, 3 months each time and each time I came right back to FFXI because I was bored as hell. WoW has somethings going for it, but it is not the be all end all. Not that anything SE has done is any good either.
The whole issue of having things in the wrong ward is that you only get one retainer, and while a bazaar is nice and all to have, it's not even remotely as efficient as some form of AH. Which will often make it difficult for people who may want to buy what you have to sell to find it, unless it's the search encompasses the entire market ward. Which it may, despite the quote saying you will be able to search by ward. Even then it would be annoying as hell having to run around the place checking and comparing prices instead of being able to have a list brought up in front of you so that you could decide exactly which retainer to run to. But who knows, maybe that will be another addition at some point. I still think charging real money for additional retainers is bullshit.
And seriously, FFXI is not the game to be using as source material if you want to talk about how long it takes to buy something from an AH. You compare from a game that does it well, not one that doesn't. I liked the FFXI AH in function, but it was laggy and slow as hell compared to alternatives I've both seen and heard about. Saying this is "better than that", whether it is or not, is pointless when that was slow as hell to begin with.
Seriously wasn't trying to knock WoW. I didn't play it for several reasons, although I've got a ton of friends who do/have, including my fiance, who still plays it. Credit where credit is due, the game has plenty going for it, it's not crazy successful because it sucks and everyone who plays it is stupid.
That doesn't change the fact that I know what I want to play, and so do others, and it isn't a different game re-skinned to add chocobos and moogles. Would I mind having some of the things the game has done and shown are excellent ideas? Hell no I wouldn't, good ideas are good ideas, no matter where they come from. But XIV should be a Final Fantasy Online game, which means whatever it takes and uses, whatever it ends up being, should still feel and play like it's own game and not another clone of WoW (although admittedly, with the FF IP and some of SE's own ideas/adjustments in the mix, it probably would have been more successful than the others attempting to clone it).
Sounds like someone doesn't know how ratios work.
It's hard to really get a grasp of the ratio of either community. There have been days I play with wonderful people all day, there are times I meet the biggest douchebags in the world. For FFXI, a big BIG part of why I never leveled more than 2 jobs to 75 is because of how terrible the majority of people I would level with were at the easy, easy game that is FFXI. I couldn't stand a lot of them. I am alt-crazy in WoW and while I generally lead meters no matter what I'm doing, I occasionally do meet players able to perform as well as I can on any of my characters (while leveling, this is) which is quite a feat since I take a lot of time to get good gear on all my guys as I go. And these guys are often pretty cool and/or polite too. Trade chat is awful and terrible, no one can possibly argue that, but you rarely ever listen to the vocal minority...
I did everything, I enjoyed the PvP and being a twink more then anything, but overall I got bored of wow quickly and had no connection with my character, the world or the story. To each his own, but for me, I find WoW a great game for 1-2 months and then not worth playing.
NEVER REACTIVATE!!!!
Fucking this! ^
I was going to fucking take a screen shot of his post, and post it as a gif with little shitty paint arrows and stuff, but then i decided to continue living my life as i had been before this chump tried to have internet arguments.
If your gonna have a flame war, bring your god damn A game fucker. If my lazy ass can hit 'backspace' and scroll up to the post that dooom was refering too, YET you still attempt to say the opposite of what you BLATANTLY said, you have failed as a troll. It's like you realized you responded like an idiot, but decided to keep going with it, because MUSTNOTSHOWWEAKNESS. Yet you show an even greater weakness:
