Are you aware of the purpose of a test phase to a game?
The purpose of it is to test the game, find the problems, and then fix them. Is it irrational for people to assume that changes would be made from the testing phase to the release of the game? No, because the problems were reported, discussed, and made clear to the developer.
SE in conjunction with not fixing these blaring issues, also kept promising players new elements that would accompany the launch of the game. Were these promises kept? No, the game was kept in the exact same state as the testing phase.
I don't see your point Mioioio.
You run, you get a leve, you run to Aetheryte, you initiate the leve, you run for 20 mins to find mobs that run away, you 2-shot the mobs. I spend more time running than fighting anything, and when I do get to fight something, I either kill it in 2 hits, or it destroys me. The quests are all exactly the same, and each level range only has like 5 you can cycle per city. I think I've done each rank 20 leve like ten times already. Not only are they too simplistic, without any point to them except material gain, but their difficulty scaling is also completely fucked up. The instance system also destroys the "immersion", or the feel of the world if you will, because it isolates you from the rest of the game environment.Leves could have been an amazing mechanic. They still have the potential to be good in the future. They need a shit-ton of tweaking, but at least they are a step in the right direction as far as questing goes.
Actually I just like the cool cards they're on. >.>
