A few pages ago Kaylia and a few other toons were actually promoting WoW in here. Just think about that for a minute. Why even still argue with them about anything at this point?

Even though he was trolling Blackheartx was right. Posting here is just feeding them. Shit isn't even funny anymore. You say something about anything related to ffxiv and Kaylia is there waiting with the retard bat to compare it to WoW while butchering the English language. Then 10 posts later Lordender will show up with some random dumb ass post that makes no sense at all and won't be relevant to the previous debate. But it will be long winded and flame inducing to fans of the ffxiv game.

He will also ignore any response you have to his post but will always show up again a few pages later. Like a retarded monkey that keeps showing up and throwing its own feces at your kids everytime you go to the zoo.

I always thought this such a stupid way to put down ppl. We are on a forum, ppl use short hand talk for numerous things. While I agree CP is amongst the president's of the whiteknight community, make fun of him for his stupid logic, not because he uses internet short speak. (especially in a forum that is devoted to a game that allows you to type 25 characters per in game chat

Not what my complaint was about, and retracted anyway, because even what I was complaining about was unnecessary. Before, I'd like to point out, you posted in either thread. I'm pretty sure everyone knows which of us is the troll.

And I'm also pretty sure the last couple posts I had made, in this thread and the other, were basically about the fact that I don't really want to argue/complain about XIV anymore, at least anytime in the near future. Taking me out of context and attacking me after that is just you being a prick because you don't like me.

As far as weapon skills go, I think kaylia's right. The sort of... "empty" weapon skills were one of the first things I noticed here. And how so many of them are essentially the same also (Up to level 25ish, at least). It's not really comparing early weapon skills here versus late ones on xi (you basically get the wheeling thrust animation at lv.... 5 here? or so?), it's just that they have a really faded feel in 14. Red Lotus here was the first one I noticed it on, since I compared that directly to red lotus in xi, but weapon skills in general I think received this treatment.

I think it was partially a conscious decision. Weapon skills in xi were more "special", you had to save up a whole bunch of TP before you got to use one. Here you can spam several back to back. I guess that sort of underlying regularity might have been in the minds of the designers (and I agree, it would be odd to have elaborate splashy skills being spammed on screen every second).

I'm still playing though, if not as much as I could. If I can handle the other stuff, what's a bad WS animation or two.

You have to think about this for a while. The only real unique WS animations we had in XI were 65+, everything else (to my memory) used a standard animation with pretty particle effects. XIV seems less guilty of this, but, to make up for it, you get level II versions of WS that are the same but stronger.

Another reason for being generic in some cases (like Concussive Blow) is because you cross-class with them, so the animation has to have a standard to deal with various weapons. I would assume that class specific are going to be more unique

It's not putting someone down. It's just a matter of preference. Sure, in a game that limits you to 64 or whatever characters SE allows us to type it's fine to use short hand. But seriously, it's the same thing as they're their there... or your and you're.
