I am hoping what SE s referring to is "elites". Basically tougher, higher HP versions of regular mobs. Think like wolf > alpha male. Adds more variety within the same levels instead of just mobs of similar type higher level.

I've been around since the alpha. The general idea that mediocrity is acceptable on this board is simply too fun to argue against. As long people defend the game with fallacious arguments or personal attacks, I will be around. Sadly, your kind is a species that is slowly going extinct. Only an handful of people are still defending this pile of shit.


And technically, you can count on one hand the amount of time I started WoW talk. I'm pretty sure you brought up the topic more often than I did as an insensitive to start shit.

And no, I don't feel compelled to play a MMO when I've something better to do. They will only improve the more you wait, so why play now if you don't have to?

I'm more amazed at the incompetency of their Q&A team, which was supposed to act as the "players" until real testing began. Probably the "I'm just here to work" mindset..

From our point of view, some pretty obvious mistakes are made. Especially when there is no player influency. All developers are like this, especially when you can't see the feature in action before it is too late.

Nah, all it take is one shitty boss (director), and Tanaka is probably that guy. This is not to say that the rest of the team did a good job, since there is some issue on my level (q&a team, shitty network code once again, weird design).


You can't predict the future easily, but everyone can study the past. There is enough mmo on the market to evaluate your ideas.

Actually, the success of FFXI (in term of playerbase) was probably FFXIV's downfall. I can't help but think that instead of making a good game, they tried to replicate the same experiments thinking they had a winning formula.

So many things go into making a video game. Doesn't matter if its an mmo or an offline. If it was easy, every game made would be great and we'd all be making them. It's ridiculous that you sit and argue like producing a game is so black and white.

And why bash Tanaka? He's just SE's mouth piece. He's not the one "ruining" your video game.

Aside from that, your feelings about the game are subjective anyway. Some people are enjoying their time on FFXIV even though the vocal minority on this board and others would have you believe otherwise. If anything, SE's problem is their own success. Peoples expectations of this company are unrealistically high. So when they don't release a masterpiece at the onset dickheaded blizzard trolls like Kaylia can circle jerk and make a big fuss.
