Nick Swardson's Pretend Time

Demetri Martin is getting a new show on CBS. They signed a blind script deal or some such.

Been catching some episodes of this and I gotta say.. I love Nick Swardson's comedy style in his specials/cameos/etc.. but this show is pretty hit & miss. The hockey bit in the first episode has been the only thing I've really died laughing at so far, everything else is a few big laughs and chuckles. Still a decent show.

seeing sandler's gay robot skit was pretty cool, overall the show is more weird than funny, and mildly interesting

the boss pretending to be blind was pretty good but the skits before that were all pretty bad.

I enjoy Nick, but some of the skits make me and my brother wonder. He ended up just saying to me after the second episode:

"Yep, this is going to be another standard comedy central show."

"You mean it runs for a month and disappears never to be shown again except at 12am on weekends very rarely?"

"Pretty much."

I will keep watching because some of the skits make me laugh quite heartily, but some do worry me for the sake of it staying on the air.

I've seen much better shows that weren't as hit and miss get cancelled. (Kid Notorious, anyone?) Also, that show about the Half-way House.
