It used to be. It's really pretty good nowadays, and they offer the highest pay in the industry if you're senior level.

Oh I completely agree, I just don't think most ppl realize how big of an untapped market China is. Blizz realized this and brought WoW over there. SE realizes this and that's why they want to bring XIV over there (w/I'm sure will be in a much better state when that time rolls around).

On topic of EA: My skepticism of TOR comes from them balancing Jedi's. I don't see how you can make that movie feeling translate into a video game. Yeah, they will be limited by MP or w/e, but in essence you should be a complete badass until you go oom. I think it would work best as a pure action mmo, but then putting a Jedi in a very skilled players hands will make them more unstoppable then a tricked out Dante lol.
I know ppl who got a hands on at E3 or w/e said the combat was rly clunky and not fun, but ppl are talking about a game that still has a year to go in beta. So it's hard to say.

I gotta agree, this game would have been pretty awesome as pure online RPG instead of once again trying to make it a full MMO which basically means combat is watered down among other things. The game basically plays like oRPG already, they should have just went all the way with it focusing on combat gameplay and mission based progression.

I think SE does, which is why half of XIV seems to be a conglomeration of concepts catered to appease the Chinese government. Too bad for XIV, though: WoW got there first.

On topic of EA: I kinda agree. I have no idea how they're going to balance this shit. No one in the Star Was game is going to want to be the "weak" guy, since every class is seemingly overpowered from the get-go outside of the smuggler and spy. When the PVP crew gets ahold of the game, that shit is going to be murder to balance.

Take all of the QQ from AoC and Aion and just quintuple it.

I honestly didn't hold much hope for this game in the first place. XIV is pretty disappointing so I'm hoping at this years Blizcon we get a release date for Diablo 3, which will probably be a better MMOesc game than XIV is ;/

EDIT: Though is George Lucas really that involved? Sounds like partial BS.
Maybe not Lucas himself, but Lucas Arts is definitely involved. And they have some strict and arbitrary rules you need to follow. But most big companies are like that, it doesn't make much sense, you just have to live with it.

I'm pretty much just holding on to Aion til diablo comes out. Not innovative, but something to do.
