First Christmas Thread of 2010: Early Shopping Ideas

I like to get things done early, especially Christmas shopping (mostly because I procrastinate on the wrapping). I'm looking for some ideas for parents, siblings, kids, elderly grandparents/aunts/uncles. My family are big on Surprise Gifts and Interesting Things and Discussion Items, so something unusual (and cheap) is needed (hence me making a thread on BG, which tends to have all the interesting ideas).

No, not gift certificates for hookers.

wtf Christmas shopping in October... I do all my Christmas shopping in a day long marathon with my sisters the week before Christmas. I think the earliest I've ever gone Christmas shopping is Black Friday... but that's a whole other (evil) story. Besides, I need to shop for 10 and 5 year old girls.. what they "OMG WANT" now and what they "OMG WANT!" weeks before Christmas will change drastically thanks to the Christmas $pirit and holiday commercials.

If you have a membership, check out costco. They always seem to wind up with all sorts of books and dvd's that are cool that you would get gouged for if you bought elsewhere. Picked my dad up a book on the Star Wars special effects and how it's evolved over the years to start my christmas shopping early.

I had baby stew last year for our Christmas meal. We cooked the aborted fetuses of my sisters and cousins, threw in carrots, potato, celery, and a chicken broth to make it extra nommy, and it was.
