Best costumes are the homemade ones. When I was a kid, I made my own robot costume. It was basically a couple of cardboard boxes for the body and head with shit drawn on it, and for the arms and legs I used those cardboard tubes that engineer's use for their drawings and such... it was awesome. I couldn't bend my arms and legs at the joints because of the tubes, so I walked like a "real robot".

Tragedy struck when I shambled ahead of my parents to try and get through as many houses as possible. I tripped on the sidewalk and fell, and tried to break my fall by putting my arms out, and got stuck in a push-up position because I couldn't bend my arms and legs. By the time my parents got to me to help me up, the cardboard tubes had cut into my arms and I was bleeding, still stuck there.
