If they could get the penalties under control they could prob string together some wins. Their schedule also isn't as tough as we thought it would be when announced since so many NFC teams are sucking dongs this year. Going to have to win all 5 division games remaining to even have a chance.

I hope they just meltdown though, I'm afraid if they make it to the playoffs at this point Jerry would keep Wade. Need to get rid of Wade/Red Jesus/Barber (even though he's still good if they use him only for 3rd and short yard). I used to have Roy Stonehands on this list but he is balling out this year.

LOL. The vice president of officiating said that the excessive celebration penalty actually wasn't on miles, but rather on Sam Hurd for doing the same "Hook em horns" gesture as RW.

Instead, Phillips said the penalty was called on receiver Sam Hurd, for giving the same "hook'em horns" gesture as Williams, who salutes to his alma mater, the University of Texas, after every touchdown. This time, Hurd apparently did the same and was flagged for it.

"I thought it was on Miles because the official on the sideline told me that when I asked him," Phillips said. "And Carl Johnson said specifically that was not the call and he would have been upset if they had called it."

Howard Balzer reports the Dolphins cut Carpenter on Monday. A former first-round pick of the Cowboys, Carpenter was picked up by Miami before Bill Parcells slid into a consultant role. He was cut by St. Louis after Dallas traded him to the Rams in the offseason.
