NFL most overrated player 2010

Sports Illustrated released an NFL player’s poll that ranked Cowboys QB Tony Romo as the league’s second-most overrated player. His former teammate, Cincinnati wide receiver Terrell Owens, topped the list. Of the 239 players surveyed by the magazine, 14 percent ranked Owens first while Romo tallied 7 percent of the vote. New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and Washington defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth each garnered 5 percent. Another NFC East passer, the New York Giants’ Eli Manning, rounded out the top five with 4 percent.

The poll was probably taken before this season started or during the first week, which would explain the absence of Revis or Favre, since they are definitely topping it right now. Would be the opposite situation for Sanchez too I'd imagine since he's played pretty well so far this season.

Ditto on that one as well, I would still consider Owens to be "overrated," but he's definitely showing that his numbers last year had less to do with him and more to do with the team he was playing for.

Did a fair portion of the NFL world (myself included) expect the Vikings season to ride solely on the shoulders of Brett Favre and that they would likely be the best team in the NFL if he agreed to come back this year?

Same token, last year people expected TO to drop into Buffalo and keep putting up the same kind of numbers, and it bombed horribly. Which would pretty much directly lead to him being "most overrated" if that poll was done before we got a shot at looking at his performance this year. I still wouldn't consider TO the football jesus some people seem to revere him as. That title is obviously reserved (at least here) for Kyle Orton.

I just got a call from my agent…I don't know what to say, that's just absolutely ridiculous. I guess I'm just going to have to start a whole re-education of how to tackle, I mean, none of those hits were illegal hits, but according to them I guess they were. I don't know, I guess I'm going to have to start from square one on the general understanding of how to make a tackle by NFL rules. I mean, it looks like I may have to sit out a few games before I can…honestly, I'm just sitting here wondering what else it is that I could have done to hit Josh or Massaquoia. The only thing I could have did with Massaquoia was dive into the ground. I don't know.
