Another song that deserves praise:
Not seeing much FFVIII love so I'll post this. The battle at Dollet is probably my favorite part of the game.
Nostalgia is killing me. I want to beat the psx ff again...
Most epic final boss music ever. Bar fucking none. Hitting a Lionhart at the right time when the beat drops for a bit is the definition of epic.
I've always been partial to that.
Many of my favorites have been mentioned already, but this one always was special to me. I've included the PS1 remake version, but even the original holds that special haunting quality.
Other honorable mentions for this same feeling I get:
Spoiler: show
I beat FF1 a long time ago, but didnt remember that track at all. It's pretty sweet.
Another FF1 track:
Doodoodoodoodoodoo doo doo doodoodoodoodoodoo doo doo
Finally getting round to playing IX at the moment (I've tried so many times but not made it off disc 1) - love the music from the Black Mage Village.
FFIX disk 2 is awful in my opinion but love the rest of the game
Went back and listened to the original FFIV OST with DFX support and really broke down the songs. The man really is a genius.
My two favorites <3
Some of my favorites that haven't been posted yet:
Spoiler: show
And if I had to narrow it down to one choice, it would probably be the Al'Taieu music from FFXI.
FFX is the first game that made me cry when you arrive at al'bhed home and learn the real story about the pilgrammage made me cry with that song lol
