A pretty measured review, but when you go to the comments section in youtube, the comments make it seem like the game is complete shit, even though that's not what the reviewer said. The comments remind me of the posts in this thread too.

Honestly, I would buy this game if there weren't a dozen other games coming out in the next few months that I wanted to buy, one of them being a "dmc-esque" game made by Platinum Games

People tend to stick to their original assumptions, even when it turns out said assumptions end up incorrect. Persuading them to look back on their original assumption and rethink them, going "Hey, turns out this wasn't as bad as I thought it might be," is clearly asking too much of them.

I'm not saying the game is perfect, I obviously haven't had a chance to play it yet since street date isn't until tomorrow, but if you look on Metacritic, where it has an 85, and you look at all the positive reviews it's getting, then logic is probably going to dictate that they did something right.

ME3 is another example where fans are insufferable little faggots. ME3 was an awesome game and the only reason why there was negativity was the objectively crappy ending, however, and like most reviewers noted, just because the ending sucked, it didn't mean that the rest of the game wasn't awesome.

Nobody disagreed the ending sucked, but only the biggest man babies decide that the entire game was awful just because the last 10 minutes were awful.

The new Dante will be an insufferable faggot but if you just want to mash buttons you will have an OK time.
