Had the chance to play this all last night and today and beat it earlier. I must say I loved it and had a blast with it. It was short and the lack of a lockon was annoying but it was really good to me. I'm probably in the minority here but I thought the combat flowed very smoothly and the partial autolock worked much better than I thought. And I know most are hating on the writing but I loved it. It was sarcastic and very well voice acted. I liked the new Dante and Vergil and their interactions a lot. Overall I was surprisingly impressed. Even if it was way too short.

I tried playing it earlier and turned it off. Anyone that calls themselves a DMC vet will despise this title. I need my turbo mode and frames back.

Is the anime good? I never got around to watching it. Like most people, when it comes to the games, I never cared for the story much. It was all about the gameplay. The characters were alright, but nothing special. Probably why I never picked the anime up. Anyway, the opening scene looked good. The music was awesome as well, so now I'm a bit interested.

It's more of a 7 or 8/10 for me. Not that bad and not that great. It's also canon though taking place between 1 and 4. 12 episodes though.

He goes Majin form during the Abigail fight or sort of just used the DT powers to kill SID. Without fully transforming.

I'm kind of glad he didn't since it showed he was boss enough not to constantly rely on it. Just would've liked to see it animated

And I can say one good thing about the new DmC:

It got rid of Trish.

Um I never plays force unleashed 2 but the game is roughly 9 hours long and I went medium speed through kinda looking for side stuff kinda not. But there is a bunch of hidden stuff and after game things u can do. And Dante starts off not that bad in in terms of angstyness in all honesty. To me it seems like they hyped up wrong things about the new Dante. Tho he does start to change a lot through the story making the end all the better. Like I said tons of fun just wish it was way longer. Tho I take that as a combo between a pro and a con. And I really hope they make another.

Edit: actually Dante has a big change in attitude like an hour and a half in that makes the game a lot more interesting.

The anime is really easy to pick up and watch, plus it's enjoyable, especially the english one. 12 eps at 20 mins each. The same VA from DMC3 and 4 voices him, so the personality is carried over. The only bad thing is that the fights aren't cool/good. Dante just finishes every monster very quickly.

Regarding the devil trigger:

he does devil trigger at the end episode, but off screen, and one shots the mob lol; also offscreen. I'm sure that was a devil trigger anyway. but then when we next see him he's back to normal as if nothing happened. a bit annoying they designed the whole anime around avoiding action lol

The thought of purchasing a 360 actually crossed my mind today... next-gen needs to hurry up before I break. The amount of 3rd party games I've had to pass on because of terrible ports is really starting to bother me.
