10/10 would play again
10/10 would play again
i finished a run through this on saturday afternoon, it's not a very good game. far too easy, you can hit SSS with a few reps of alternating arbiter combos and the weapon is so strong that there's no reason to use anything else unless it's one of the two or three enemies that can only be hurt with the scythe/daggers. the only time you're ever in any real danger is when the autolock system decides to target something that makes no sense at all.
also, the mission set in the discotheque with dubstep playing the whole time is probably the dumbest moment in videogames. the major artistic decisions in this game were clearly informed by the 15-year-old children of NT staffers.
So the general scene I get is, this is a very good game, but it would be better if it wasnt called devil may cry?
Also, im not sure why people are calling Combichrist dub step, lol.
I think it depends on what you are looking for. It's kind of a junk food game; easy to play and feel like you're good at it but there isn't really much substance to it (in the combat or the story). If you are looking to mash buttons without much challenge you'll probably enjoy this.
The fact that it's called Devil May Cry just means it gets compared against its predecessors and is found falling short of what some people would expect from the series.
True indeed. The original DMC was fairly difficult for newcomers, but with a huge payoff if you got it down. Story wasn't DEEP, but was pretty interesting. DMC3 was the pinnacle. Capcom has trashed another one of my favorite series, yet again. I did check the other day, and realized Capcom created some of my favorite games. I thought it was Square at first because of my overwhelming love for XI and VIII, but then I realized Capcom had them beat in my eyes.
Breath of Fire
Megaman X
Megaman.exe
Resident Evil
Monster Hunter
DMC
Street Fighter
Vs. Series
And all but like 3 are ruined. If they fuck up Monster Hunter or fuck up the Dragon's Dogma sequel, I will punch a baby in the face.
I like when people complain that it was Capcoms doing when all they did was outsource the game to a different developer and they just published and distributed it.
oh is that all?
Anyone here play this with a pulse headset? Should really add a lot to the soundtrack I'd think
"new IP" is a phrase companies hate this close to the end of a console phase. hell, it's a phrase they hate regardless.
So... Lots of talk in this thread about DMC3 being amazing. I actually donated the cloth scroll they used for advertising in stores to BG rafflecopter so there's some more incentive for you guys to throw money at BG.

If you've managed to pry your palm away from your face long enough to read the rest of this, I commend you. The petition reads as follows:
"Dear Mr. Obama: As a consumer to the Video Game Industry there is one Video Game that has caused a lot of controversy over the past few month's.
The name of the game is DmC: Devil May Cry made by Ninja Theory and Capcom. A majority of gamer's are aggravated that this game has changed so much from it's past predecessors and the game actually insults the consumers in-game.
We, as consumers did not want nor need this reboot and we believe it violates our rights to have a choice between the original's or the reboot. This game is violating our rights as a consumer and we believe it should be pulled off shelves from game stores due to it's insulting nature and the fact that it violates our rights.
Please Mr. Obama, look into your heart and make the decision that will please us Gamers."![]()
I stopped at "Dear Mr. Obama". Shit's ridic.
That's awesome lol
