I get more and more hype for this every day. Always been torn on whether I prefer DMC3 or DMC4 but I'm pretty sure this is throwing that out the window 'cause holy shit.

Yeah, DMC4 SE could very well be the best DMC, and while I think DMC4 already had better gameplay than 3 it lacked a lot of the...soul(?) that 3 had...plus the epic backtrack didn't help. The extra characters I'm certain will push it the fuck over the edge.

He can't be any worse then Nero if you had his rev timings down, which granted was really fucking hard.

And then you play the PC version and turbo mode exists and all that shit is out the window so you get to not only learn the timings again but force yourself to forget the old timings that constantly try to screw you over. The endless struggle.

Knowing rev timings changes Nero from a terrible character to a fucking fun one. Could've been better with like 1, just fucking 1 extra weapon lol, but between level 3 revolver charge, devil bringer and max rev timing I don't think Nero needs more.

I'm feeling this already, needs to be here now.

I never used the rev thing playing on PS3 because fuck those fucking awful mushy marshmallow L2/R2 buttons on the PS3 controller....

I sucked so bad at the Rev timings but every time I nailed the spinning uppercut one, I felt like a champion.

Confirmed via that stream: Nero/Lady/Vergil all playable on start.
Lady/Trish share one campaign and Lady plays the Nero stages while Trish plays the Dante stages.

Vergil has a campaign all to himself and plays all stages.

I would have paid full price day 1 for this, 25 bucks is just ridiculous.

One thing though, is it known if the new characters will get their own combat themes? I mean, I'd have no problems if they all just used Nero's theme because it's probably my favorite song from the series, but it would be a nice touch.

From the bit of gameplay I saw, at the very least... in that build they don't have their own themes. They were playing as Lady and you got the normal stuff.

If anyone gets their own theme it would be Vergil, I wouldn't bet on Lady and Trish getting their own.
