I haven't seen any terribad reviews. all the ones I've seen go along the lines of "it's good, but flawed." seems like it's worth a playthrough, but maybe not at $60.

I'm interested in ppl's opinions on the game. I am more in line w/ Yuri-G's comment though... I was really looking forward to this game, and while I don't take reviews to equate to my enjoyment of a game, a game that is getting consistently low scores says to me that there are glaring problems w/the game that will get in your way.

Does that mean I won't enjoy it? Definitely not. But it does tell me that in a month or two you can pick up the game for 30-40$ (or less), and I may go that route

I just finished the first chapter. I like it so far, the platforming feels solid and the weapons compliment each other. There has been some lag occurring at the beginning of cutscenes though.

Portal 2 was 34.99 a week after launch. So price drops doesn't necessarily mean cancer.

I havent played it no, but I have it sitting here and Pika is correct, the price protection is only for two weeks, so retailers can have nice sales on it. Same deal with Portal 2, Dragon Age 2 and Crysis 2, from us at least. MK saw a toysrus sale for 29.99 within 3 weeks.

Sales dont mean its bombing, seems like a trend this year. L.A. Noire is already on sale at Best Buy too.

Everything I've read comes across as terribly underwhelming. Most reviews are the same, very pretty to look at and get lost in but repetitive gameplay is what you can expect.

I just got it from gamefly. It has some issues. The gameplay is really repetitive and gets boring fast (combat and platforming). The only motivation to keep playing is the game world (very interesting) and what they could come up with for a twisted story. I would not recommend buying and you could probably watch youtube videos to avoid the hassle of renting and still get all the visuals and story.

So pretty much like the first one. Still love it for the atmosphere/story but yeah combat/platforming was subpar.
