    Search suggests the following for EE:
    - Stun EBB and Charm Breath
    - Use normal Marbol NM tactics

    What does the latter mean? The only NM of this type I've fought is the one near DA and he just seemed like a tank+healer fight.

    Pretty much...cept I'd suggest DD tanks (/nin if you're worried about support)....3 DD/nin, brd whm, rdm, couple extra stunners is overkill, but should be plenty for even half decent players that don't have their goal as "see how low we can go". If you want to go lower, 1 DD/nin, brd, rdm, stunner could definitely do it, just back-tank if stun is down (don't think it has any regain at all). Rdm/drk if you're paranoid and want 2 stunners.

    There's a chance I'm off, but when we were working to atma it back before the 13 WSes were narrowed down, we'd have a paladin tank disengaged to limit TP feeding, and it didn't feel like it had any regain. In any case, I don't think it's a very hard fight, at all. This of course changes if you let all your DD/tanks get charmed or let an EBB go off...

    It definitely has regain, and it increases near the end of the fight(might just be <25% mechanic, idk). I always hold it at 60% on mnk back tanking if atma hasn't been procced yet, don't get hit at all due to evasion, and it still tps. I'd estimate one TP move per 30 seconds without melee on it, really should have two stunners just in case. Still not a hard fight.

    Will charming and releasing a PH on a lottery spawn NM have the same affect as killing the PH? moving the mob so that it despawns upon release of course.

    @Stats people, Goetia set +2:
    How many trials do I need to do with 0/3, 2/3, 3/3 to see what the conserve MP rate is?
    Any changes to testing method needed? C3 should be big enough to determine reduction even at 1/16, correct?

    Is there any info on magic barrier? like how much does it absorb? and does more skill when casting absorb more dmg etc? cant find anything useful other then stoneskin effects overrides it and i want to know if its worth the cast,

    This. Also for some reason the lower his HP, more chance we had of it ready'ing it's TP moves would not show in logs. BLMs were 15" away from it and still wouldnt see them while when his HP was higher, we would. Might be just random glitch or fail but it's weird the tree of us all had this.

    So, i'm considering dropping vert merits in favor of wind (and then to thunder once we get thunder4). My reasoning is that with 23/tic (when i actually bother to refresh myself that is), i have an extremely hard time going through 5k+ mp in 8:20, and hardly even use vert at all (and with ethers/elixirs never actually need to use it when i do. i honestly don't remember the last time i've used vert twice within a 20 minute time frame, let alone under 10 minutes).

    On the flip side, those wind merits aren't really that useful either, since i very rarely get resisted anyway, and only a few mobs, and only when i don't have ascetic's (which i almost always do, at least when doing events with my ls, which is basically all i do anymore).

    Thoughts?

    I made essentially the exact same post in Alla's RDM forums, where they concluded I needed to nuke more...my reaction after sleeping on it is to simply wait. It's only 150k exp to re-spec those merits, which is 3-5 hours work in a good abyssea group, so essentially very little effort to fix that. I think I'm just going to wait for 99 and see what SE does. I'm a little suspicious that everything in Abyssea has been put into *mostly* easy mode, and I feel a good screwing from SE coming soon based on 8 years of experience. I don't think we can answer this well because we don't know what the game will look like @99 yet. Like you, I considered putting those merits into wind, or maybe some into earth for slow acc, or maybe fire for addle...

    On a side note, how are you +23? 5 for each atma is 10, refresh 2 is 16, I only have 1 piece of idle gear (vermy), but I assume you have hat and body so that is 18 - where is the other 5 coming from?

    You can get.. 10atma+5atma+7refresh(withAF3+2)+1serpentes+2body head+1cape for a total 26. I don't think he's using cape, head and +2 legs.

    Personally keeping my Convert merits here, with constant nukes and not going back for meds all the time I can find myself needing the MP.

    150k .. 3-5 hours .. good abyssea group

    That thread is pretty much why i'm seriously considering it.

    15/tic from atma. I don't have hat, but i do have serpentes.

    Also, merits aren't an issue. My merits are capped, except for smn, which is close, even though i don't even have any avatars except shiva and ramuh. I've wasted over 1-2m exp in the last month or so, and i still average probably 300k+ exp per week, just from nms and exp chests.

    Ok, I know that there are fell cleave/manaburn/odin smn burn things that can do this faster, but I don't have experience with them. 3-5 hours for a pickup abyssea exp group is reasonable.

    Which is the +10 atma? and isn't there a +30 MAB atma?
