We TP on other monsters to keep the Tier 1s alive and to reduce WSs lost to random TP moves, not because we're afraid of their damage output <_<
Homepointing and returning sounds like a great strategy if I want to burn stones.

With abyssea now being the standard, what group 1&2 merits should I do for COR? I assume nothing has changed but have actually been confused on what to merit on cor before abyssea... everything seems... meh
Since STR isn't a modifier for Blade: Hi, I'm going to go with either RR+Sanguine Scyth or RR+Gnarled Horn. I was wondering how much STR I should include in a WS setup to try to get my fSTR close to cap. I'm pretty sure my base is 85 and I have both Furtherance Abyssites so a total of 115 from cruor buffs alone. Is there a generally accepted number for STR to cap fSTR that people have been using for damage calculations in Abyssea?
I dunno, I never seem to have issues, temp items flow like water, tp flows like water (well, I guess not quite as much if you're nin sub), but tbh I don't bother trying to proc on t1's cept time mobs, rather just burn em since the drop rate is high enough to not be too worried.
My point about homepointing is that if your argument for nin sub is that every now and then you might do a mob where you might die, it's generally not a big concern. It's not exactly hard to build lights when you're burning an NM every 3 minutes.
Yeah, but I farm every night for 3 hours and I get one 39 minute stone (lolOvni) every 14 hours. Homepointing can't be a part of my strategy, and /SAM isn't going to speed things up enough to counteract the time I'd lose.
Edit: Also, we force red on essentially everything. It takes us less time to force red than wait for the !! repop.
Group 1 is QD recast/acc. for G2 1/5 loaded deck and any mix of fold and snake eye pretty much. COR merits haven't really changed.
Edit: You can also do winning streak if you want longer time with DD buffs on you or some such. But 20 seconds an upgrade didn't appeal to me.
Gonna activate an old mule account for TH4 action, can I pay for an account using a Visa Gift card? I got one lying around that expires in Jan that has $32 on it.
People who go in 5-7 times a week with groups of 4-6 and kill 10-20 NMs each time?
Did 8 Blazing Eruca, 2 Hanuman, 2 Iku-Turso, 2 Pascerpot, 3 Gnawtoothed Gary last night and the night before we did 6 Blazing Eruca, 2 Hanuman, 4 Iku-Turso, 3 Pascerpot, 1 Lord Varney, 1 Khaklotaur, 2 Gnawtoothed Gary and 1 Ikotomi.
Yeah, we require stones.
Does Capricornus have set spawn areas in its 4 zones? About to start on a trial requiring me to kill it, but don't want to run around blindly so much with other-tier abyssites picking up on mobs I don't need. Had a hell of a time tracking Jyeshtha in Saruta because, since I wasn't in a very specific area, I kept getting Orcus or the Fly to ping.
In eron (s) it seems like cap/yacu either spawn at the extreme southern portion of the map or at the northern end, about 300ish yalms northeast from the city. once or twice they have been up right next to the fence, but they are either in the northern spot or southern spot 99% of the time in my experience.
Lern2TE? My ls uses 2-3 people to farm time, and everyone else does nms. We've left with less than 120 mins once in the last month, and only because we didn't bother farming any time after the first 30 mins or so. Even with 4-6 people total, that leaves you with 2-4 people for nms, which is plenty.
This, and furthermore, I've gone in plenty with 3 people...cap lights, then just kill shit, always end up positive on time (use Sam, Brd, Rdm generally...if you want to call Masamune overpowered, just take 4 people and do 2 dd, rdm, brd). Generally, we pick 1 NM that fits well for the people going, and spam it, then farm normal mobs between for pop items/TEs and such (maybe spend 20-30min after capping lights just farming normal mobs anyway to get a small boost in time at the start). We even run around and kill timed pop NMs for KIs also, still end up positive.
But ya, all that being said, there's nothing wrong with using stones - only a problem if you're so low you're doing less in Abyssea for that reason, or drastically changing your strategies/plans/etc due to being low on stones. It's not like having 80 on the NPC vs 30 at this point matters.
Was using that last night (hence how I knew it was Fly and Orcus giving me false readings), but was just mainly looking for general areas to start since Jugner is kind of annoying zone to move around in, especially in the past. Main plan is just get a few shellmates, cycle through all 4, then come back to the first as it repops, etc. to get my 6 kills.
