Lowman strat for Ironclad Pulverizer?

LS attendance has plummeted to ~6 on a good night, so at this point I think we're better off farming multiple sets until we get the !! to proc on one of the weaponskills we can trigger.

Eve, while killable, seems like a waste of time since it's a bitch to get pops for (~3 hours of large gold chests led to ONE key item for Eve), and there are too many gaps in our !! Trigger pool lately...

I finished my EE set solo on BLU (Had help with pearl light, but amber + azure I soloed off Emph mobs). The wiki description makes EE seem like a bitch, but he's really a joke. Bring him to the hill before Convlux 8 for height difference and so people can change if needed. Also, since random people do need VV atma, I'm sure you can field pick up members solely for the purpose of procing the !!.

Edit: Alternatively, you could move your ass to Diabolos since I don't actually need this EE pop.

How slow do you kill? During >30 hours of farming, I never went an hour with less than 3-4 eve key items.. using only my characters to kill things. You could always farm pops manually. Pulverizer is a joke to kite and a joke to zerg, anything in between will get beaten around a bit. 6man with atma proc? 2 competent RDM/NIN, 2 SMN(or RNG, or melee+WHM with brains, or whatever you want), WAR, NIN. All WS covered and easily kills.. actually getting the WS to proc on the other hand, that shit can suck.

I keep hearing about how his proc is broken and shit, but as far as I can tell it's extremely simple to get it to proc by having someone kite @ 20 and ws as it runs through you.

Also yeah, if you have eve or pulv pops and *still* can't get people to come help... something is terribly wrong.

Sumeru+1 is 488 not 482, it 5 hits at 52 stp, 50 stp will have you 5 hitting with VV easily.

Yes, but I'm saying, assuming 4tp from VV or taking damage and 1 extra hit on RR landing, you can hit 5-hits with the 482 delay STR GAX at 50stp during TP, 30 on WS. Hell, with 488 delay GAX, you can hit it with 47 STP on TP, 30 on WS. Now, whether the WS Damage beats STR on overall DoT is more arguable, but I guess you're right that it should, especially in abyssea with those ridiculous atma buffs.

We we're basically DRG, BLM, WHM, MNK, SAM, NIN for the gold box farming, killing bugards... mobs died pretty quick. We got tons (TONS) of augmented Dark Rings and temporary items like Fanatic's and Revitalizers... shit pissed me off really good.

Have your "sam or war" guy do war ws first, then switch to sam, and have him leech his nin to 55 during your farming to come back and do ei.

I watched one group fight it, and it seemed to do the head eject thing at least 8-10 times... and they had a lot of deaths with close to 18.

I think they meleed in head mode and kite/nuke while it was in the body.... hard to tell since I was watching in between Colibri NM ??? respawns.

Extremely easy to kite in body form. You'll want someone that can hold the head, though.

The number of times it goes head mode depends on how fast you kill it once it gets low, as, obviously, if it's dead it can't do it again.

I found nuking to be the best way of dealing with it since the TP moves of the giant and the helm form are annoying. Use the cliff for the body form and the ruins (One person on each side of a broken corner) for the helm.

Its not broken. You just cannot proc !! during a Spellcasting or Ability usage. All the ironclad "attacks" are abilities (would say weaponskill or TP move but they dont need that) that are unnamed. So you have to proc while its not swinging. Not hard, but very frustrating if you don't have people paying attention.

That's exactly what I'm getting at, if the person with hate is >16, it won't swing, therefore it's extremely simple to proc if you're not utterly retarded.

Which is why it drives me insane to watch people spend 30 minutes trying to proc blues on other ironclads (and failing) when they are utterly retarded.

While this may be the case I know that many set ups have hate constantly changing making it hard sometimes to predict the pathing patterns of the ironclad. I'm normally on nin to proc GK/Katana/Dagger and I get frustrated by the hate mechanics because frequently the kiter sheds hate by keeping out of tracking distance as well as the fact that latency lag or what not can make timing a huge problem since, for some reason, the ironclad model lags me the fuck out in the middle of other mobs.

Seriously, I have to spell this out to this extent? 1 person gets hate. They run around at 20' from the mob. They stop and make more hate if they need to because of other retards being present, and you don't have people trying to ws while they're doing that. It's really, really, really simple.

Lag is another issue, if you have problems lagging on certain mobs, don't be responsible for procs on them?

Just realized that while eating carbonara (which is pretty much guaranteed until I can get a Goading) I wouldn't actually have to WS in Askar. Also, once I manage to get Aurum I can drop 2 more points on some of the less favorable trades. Even with Goading, carbonara might still be worth using so I can switch Tactical out for Belenos, that's 23 attack gained back, which is more than diference between YCB and Carb. Honestly, though, hadn't even considered WS damage GAX before this, I'l have to lok at it a bit more when I get home. Thanks.

Does anyone have info on how Gekko and Kaiten are doing with similar atma as Fudo? I've seen what, 4-5k Fudo's? Is Kaiten doing anything decent with the same kind of atma?
