So I am still new to RDM(Although marginally better then when I posted in the Post Pictures of your Gear thread, I promise) I have been working towards some PDT rings in Konschat, but once I get them, is there any real reason to keep MP rings? Or earrings?
Why do you even have mp rings/earrins...?
How do you have room for vert gear still?![]()
If you still need the extra MP from a max mp set before fights and from any improvements to your convert set, keep the mp rings. Having PDT rings or not doesn't have anything to do with it as far as I can tell.
Edit: oh so very beaten
What if that box isn't in the settings?

Does anyone remember the in-game custom maps by Brandson? Does anyone possibly have a newer version of that pack, or by any chance has the pack by Brandson saved and could upload?
Been looking for a while and I can't seem to find anything close to what I want.
It's on windower forums.
Just checked, and the only thing I can find is maps for FFassist (or whatever 3rd party programs that can also use those maps). The in-game map pack from Brandson was discontinued a long time ago and the upload links for it are broken.
Look harder.
Dark Rings have -20hp, +20mp. I agree with not having room to carry pieces specifically for convert, but Dark Ring is a nice piece to use for a ghetto convert set (which is still worth the effort). It isn't too hard to piece together a few pieces to at least get some spare MP to cure back up...moreso for outside Abyssea, but meh. Just pointing out how they may be related. ;p
Dark Rings work fine for both tasks. Convert set, hmp, mp sets are worthless with 10-15/tick from atmas + Refresh II. Just vert in Pluviale and call it a day.
Yeah, i hit 1600 verts without even trying. Not sure why you'd really need much more than that.
You're taru, so no shit?
Yes, that's what I said about Dark Rings, I also said not to carry extra shit, but it's definitely worth it to make a convert set out of gear you carry anyway. Pluviale is borderline not even worth the inventory space, much less effort to get it (I'll prob get one eventually), and I dunno, but there's still stuff worth doing outside of Abyssea, and Abyssea has 1 patch left.
Indeed the biggest question by far far far at this point is "Are we going to be using atmas most of the time forever."
Absolutely everything depends on that, and really it's even to the point where most questions in this thread should be (and generally are if it is something that matters) accompanied by rather or not you have the game breaker atmas.
Not gonna lie I completely glazed over your post - eye/brain fail - I agree that you should make a convert set out of whatever gear that you are carrying, but how is Pluviale borderline not worth the inventory space? Unless you are in possesion of Dalmatica, what am I missing? Pluviale is still superior, regardless. Personally I found Pluviale very easy to obtain before knowledge of !! mechanics existed. While the speed at which one acquires either body is subjective to their linkshell (factoring in presence of stones vs time spent camping outdated content) or their desire to obtain a refresh body (largely in terms of Pluviale only), I would hardly call either piece useless - even more so outside of Abyssea.
