Makes it last longer (more hits). Have only had it for a day or two, so haven't really tested it to see how much.

Is it still possible to get desired seals from a quest by filling up one's inventory including one of the seals you're going for? This worked for me before but lately I've been having a hard time getting any seals at all...

All that does is makes you get nothing if something else drops, saving you 3 seconds of tossing the junk every so often.

It's not "working" is it? It's just not giving you crap? This doesn't increase seal drop rate for the one you want, does it?

There are 3 potential results for the quest:
1. No reward (let's say 80%)
2. Seal you want (let's sat 5%)
3. Seal you don't want (let's say 15%)

No idea on actual distributions, but this removes option 3 from the table as I understand...it will actually make the quest not complete, so you can talk to him again and try to complete again. In other words, with my made up distribution, you go from 5% chance to get proper seal to 5/85=~6% chance!

If the distribution is 60/10/30, it changes it from 10% to 10/70 = 14%. Etc.

Mictlan was easily duoable with 2 RDM/NIN, probably solo with good gear and pinning it. We also brought a WAR and NIN to proc red !! for his abyssite.

Brooder can be done with a DD/NIN and a healer (preferably with Viruna) without much trouble. You'll want to proc blue !! if at all possible, so I strongly recommend MNK/NIN WHM/SCH. Mict's damage absorption makes MNK a little less desirable but still feasible, especially with VV - if MNK/NIN WHM/NIN can't do it reliably (charm is rare but still annoying), MNK WHM BRD can and you'll still have guaranteed blue !! proc during the relevant hours. Failing that, pretty much any DD that won't let it recover too much HP when not casting will do - used to lowman it with BLU using blunt spells, I know SAM works well, etc. RDM and COR duo should be fine as well.

Was easy to solo regardless of gear at 80. Just pin/kite it.

Well, since I first posted, I got four more seals, completing my WHM legs +1 (cookbook). That was in about 1-2 hours worth of time.

Seems to me that if a seal drops, it "forces" the drop, but I could also just be lucky.
