Most events nowdays are done in abyssea, others are done with at least minimal support like a RDM. Unless you are solo, the strx2 shamshir are way better than OAT and OA3. Honestly, even when solo I don't see them being better. Only reason you would want TP that fast is to spam SB but to neglect spell dmg with all the refresh we get now is silly.

Does anyone know if the KI drop rate in old abyssea zones was updated to be the same as in new abyssea zones? Haven't been in the base three zones in near forever.

Base zone key item droprate was always ~50%, it's just faster to use gold chests if you're going for the higher tier NMs generally. Masamune is a complete joke to farm because of this, though it's not very practical in konschtat and completely useless in tahrongi.

Attempting Trial 89: Wamoura's with pet kill. Since this rules out teaming up with the army of mnks on firesday in mount zhaylom any suggestions on a good spot in Halvung to solo? On a side note can anyone's pet kill count? Smn mule might be better for killing with to avoid those nasty blaze spikes I've heard so much about... (And thanks for the advice on pup weapons! I finished my MAB claws in 24 hours lol)

Thoughts on using Killer Shortbow for PLD? Seems like a pretty nice piece if its potent enough.

Best idle piece for damage mitigation imo. Been using it for the past week or so and the intimidation is fairly rare but does happen. Status resistance is much harder to test, but I've "seen" it prevent status effects a few times (note this was in no way a controlled environment so take with a grain of salt).
