At what hit rate does Haste stop being better than adding more accuracy? Or is Haste always preferable even with floored accuracy? Just looking for ballpark figures.
Shit's situational? Not sure how you expect an answer to that when haste has increasing returns, and acc has decreasing returns.
Here, have an excel sheet that will calculate it. Credit to whoever the hell made it.
So according to this I could TP up in this set and WS in rajas/brutal and be ok correct? I just want to make sure I got this clear before I focus on it fully. The store tp break down for 5 hit (w/ 464 delay) is like this:
Store TP needed on hits to maintain 5 hit:
TP WS
29 29
30 26
31 23
32 20
33 16
34 10
35 6
36 3
this is assuming you have capped merits
Also 464 delay and full merits.
What's in Veridical Conflux 7 in Walk of Echoes? There's nothing about it really on either wiki's.. (like what boss is there or what drops etc.)
Rumored to be a Yilbegan #2, but besides that....
This is probably going to be a noob question but I need to ask. I go as samurai to events and i seem to die before I can put on my -pdt gear a lot so I have a couple questions. One is do most sams have it so their -pdt gear so it is equipped after a WS in spellcast? Is there a way to cancel Berserk automatically in spellcast so I just WS with it? Do most sams (when a pld is present) WS in seigan or hasso with all this new hate reset I am thinking seigan. Anyways thank you.
urdoinitrong. Fulltime hasso, and only use pdt/seigan if you're about to die for some retarded reason.
If a pld is present, then you disband, and find a new ls that doesn't suck.
Canceling berserk is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. Well...you know what i mean. It's really fucking stupid.
You're probably assuming you need your ws gear on for way longer than you do. As soon as you see the ws go off you're free to switch to whatever, even mid animation. If that's not the problem get better reflexes I guess, it takes a button tap to switch to pdt, the mob shouldnt even get a swing off before you swap (not accounting for input lag but it's not really an issue.) You can cancel berserk with spellcast + cancel but someone else probably knows the number for the status ID offhand.
Edit: Assuming you're even in danger, I have no idea how you'd die so fast even fulltime tanking.
What's the best way to get Coins of Advancement, and can it be done solo? (I could get help too - but it'd be nice to be able to work on it whenever I want)...
About how many runs/how long should it take to get 30 of them?
Coins will drop when they want. Be prepared to throw away 99 coins of ruin before you get 30adv. Took me maybe 15ish runs to get 34 coins of adv. Got extremely lucky with double adv pouch giving 9 each. You will also have to fight off random people lotting coins. Be nice to everyone in WoE, because the person you piss off will most likely be the one to out lot you due to spite. You can clear slimes pretty easily with dd/nin x2, x2 healers, and a sac. It will taker you longer to solo 30 adv than it would to farm a relic probably. Just grab a few friends and go apeshit.
I have some questions about Sneak Attack mechanics, because I suspect Rudra's Storm really isn't a very good weaponskill for anyone.
1) Does Sneak Attack enable non-crit weaponskills to crit past the first hit?
Example: If you Sneak attack a multi-hit weaponskill successfully on Thief, the first hit is a crit and receives a damage boost. Can the second hit Crit even if it was a non-crit WS like Dancing Edge?
2) All hits get the +DEX boost from a successful Sneak Attack, correct?
I see SA-Evisceration being 50% more powerful than SA-Rudra's in Abyssea. Is this wrong?
I thought dex was added to D, not after ftp?
Thanks, I was giving Sneak attack way more credit than I should have. Those adjustments make Evisceration 10% better for a THF/NIN in Abyssea than Rudra's, but I didn't cap the number of possible hits at 8 so that would push it down a little. They're about dead even for /WAR, again uncapped.
Re: rog
It's actually not, according to all the Thief tests I've heard of. Formula is as he wrote it, so high-fTP WSs (Mercy Stroke, Rudra's, etc) mostly benefit from the forced crit rather than the additional base damage.
Naw, unless wiki is wrong. It is to normal Sneak Attack hits because the fTP term is 1 there effectively, but during weaponskill it doesn't benefit from fTP.
