anyone else got major lag literally RIGHT now? got S:<100 and R:200, macros taking like 3secs to fire, alot of r0s and red dots. My friend is having the same issue, infact he just DC'd but both of our connections are fine outside of FF.

we did it with 9 easily on sunday. same setup as that, except we brought a pld so that blms didn't need to kite between skillchains.

Hello everyone I got a question: I'm a career mnk without money/hnmls/experience, what you'd think would be a good second 85 RANGED job?I've been requested by everyone one but I can't decide.You should know I hate healing/I'm bad at doing that, and I was considering something funny and not a boring support char that will never make me play mnk.

sooo...blu, rdm, pup, cor?which one would you say? I'm leaning towards either blu or pup, but I'm going around with 250k gil, no decent equipment on my mnk(full LOLaurore) and got no ls support...plus ragnarok doesn't have that many exp parties so soloing would be almost required.In general give me an idea! I'd like to not have to level a second job but whatever...

Rdm is the most useful, but you'll be doing a lot of healing in most groups. If you don't have money and haven't figured out how to make it yet, stay away from Cor. You'd only be doing yourself and your parties a disservice. I don't see how Blu would be considered a Ranged job, it's the most time consuming of the set.

Level Pup, you can solo, and no one will ever take it over your Mnk. Though tbh, based on your post, I don't see why anyone would want to take that either.

If you dont have support of friends/ls dont try blu as you cant learn some spells at the level you can use them without some help killing the mobs and a LOT of time and patience. Not to mention that blu does not have any ranged skill or that many useful ranged spells that I have found.

Not possible to trigger on non-NMs (like Tonberries). If it checks ITG, it is possible to trigger it on.

I agree with this post in general, although Pup can be expensive at times too, some of the attachments/gear get pricey, although not anywhere in cor's range of expense. RDM actually would be a fairly cheap job to level, most of the spells are cheap these days with the exception of some stuff 75+ and Phalanx jumped since PLD can learn it now, and AF pretty useful so it prevents a lot of expenses there + HQ staves are cheap now as well.

However, if you want a job that is a ranged attack job, your choices are RNG and COR and...well, PUP with the ranged attachment...those are the extent of your options.

And if you don't want to level another job, then don't. There are 9,000 gil making guides out there, so I'm not going to go over the options, but if you are broke and have lousy gear, then focus on that. MNK gets several good pieces that can be gotten simply through patience, farming, and questing, without even getting into an end-game shell. Black belt items are commonly sold (Slyph is about 2m/per item), OAT H2H magian weapons are very good right now (not a melee so don't understand footwork builds and all that, I just know they are good atm), and all you need is time to unlock those. Speaking as someone who full-times BLM and plays RDM when he has to, you'll get far more satisfaction out of having a MNK you are proud of and play well then you will half-assing some other job just because.
