Former Cowboys QB arrested on battery charge

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP)—Former Dallas Cowboys and University of Georgia quarterback Quincy Carter has been arrested on a battery charge.

Gwinnett County Police say a woman who identified herself as Carter’s girlfriend told officers Oct. 6 that the 33-year-old Decatur native was drunk when he choked and hit her because she wanted to end their relationship. Officers said 35-year-old Egan Jacobs had bumps and bruises.

Carter was stopped nine days later for driving with an expired tag and a suspended license. He was arrested on the outstanding warrant for battery. Police said he was freed from jail the same day.

Carter was released by the Cowboys in 2004 after failing a drug test. He was cut by the Abilene Ruff Riders of the Indoor Football League in 2009 after being charged with drunken driving.

Cincinnati at Atlanta - Falcons are definitely the most overrated team in the league. People were talking about them being the most balanced, but I think it's really that they just have no outstanding players.
Washington at Chicago - I think Ryan Torain is going to have a big day, though.

Washington/Chicago and Minn/GB really have me right now. GB's just riddled with so many injuries and it's just asking the Vikings to pass rush them all night long. That and the secondary's been meh with Woodson only having what.. one pick? Washington/Chicago is interesting because the Skins secondary is trash, and the Bears only know how to throw the ball obviously since Martz Martz Martz.

one sleeper is the Bengals, coming off a bye, @Atlanta. Atlanta is overrated I think. If Turner doesn't run well, Ryan just can't win them the game on his own just yet. He's got the targets (Roddy White/Tony G), but just can't take advantage of 'em yet, and I think if the Bengals can run Ced and get TO/Ochocinco involved.. they could win. Only reason I wouldn't pick the Bengals is they could easily go Bungels, and Ryan has some sort of retardedly good record at home.
