How is Seattle a layup?
How is Seattle a layup?
AFC pwns the NFC every year yet two of the last 3 years the NFC has done work in the superbowl and AZ barely lost to a much superior steelers team. WE CAN DO IT GUYS
If they were playing them in New York, sure, layup. In Seattle, not so much. I would agree with you that the Giants are probably a much better team overall, though.
Remember that time that the Giants went into Seattle and had 11 false starts and three missed FG's? I use to have a .gif of Jeremy Shockey mugging for the camera as they're lining up for the winning FG with an "I'm the shit" look on his face changing to a "What the fuck?" look on his face as he realizes the FG missed. Anyone still have that .gif?
Ha, yeah, that game was a disaster. I would think Eli would be better prepared this time around, though. Plus I think Hasslebeck being an old, immobile QB is going to have a tough time dealing with the Giants pass rush.
C'mon son. They got crushed by the Broncos and Rams. How much credit should we give them when their best win by far is a 3 point victory against a completely confused Bears team. Are we supposed to be impressed that they beat the 49ers or the Max Hall-led Cardinals?
They'll probably make the playoffs because that schedule is absolutely pathetic, but c'mon.
Jerry is being "cheap" in other ways. Yes, the payroll is huge; however, most of it was put in palace before the new stadium.
There are several players on this team that should be cut to send a message; however, that will cost money. There are coaches that should be fired; however, that would also cost money. Furthermore, why put up additional expenses for replaces to cut players and coaches when 2011 is most likely going to be locked out. Instead, he can let contracts expire and not put anyone new on the payroll until 2012.
It's smart business, but it also oozes of Jerry being a tad cheaper than he would usually be.
Haha, Troy Smith is starting for the 49ers this week, his 4th NFL start. His first real game action was coming in for a concussed Kyle Boller and failing to rally the Ravens to a win over the then-0-13 Cleo Lemon/Samkon Gado Dolphins, ensuring they wouldn't be Buccaneer'd.
idk if archi saw this yet, but lmfao

Incidentally, it's a shame that every team has at least one win now...if there's no undefeated teams, at least you'd think the NFL would give us a team that's exercising futility.
edit: oh wait, there's the Bills...are they still an NFL team?
No kidding. I wish the world would someday know what the fuck Wisenhunt was thinking with this whole QB situation. Was he really prepared to mail in the season just because he hated Leinhart so much? Whole situation is fucking bizarre, no way was Matt not the better QB between the three, especially given how long hes been there.
Not sure which QB I feel happier about the Bucs playing...Anderson or Hall. Time to add to those INT numbers.
whats this lockout i keep reading about? i googled it but all i could find was it was either the nfl cutting a couple teams, or a strike all together. could someone please elaborate for me?
Current collective bargaining agreement ends after this season. tl;dr version is that both the NFL and the Players Union haven't come close to another agreement yet and there is very little optimism that it will on both sides as of now. Many people "in the know" claim a lockout is all but inevitable.
