First season for me, so I'm mostly getting scrub deathed on the few losses I've had.

I'm guessing you have little to no resilience as well, you should get used to popping your cooldowns early, especially with the state the game is in right now. I suspect either a resilience buff to help against damage across the board or some nerfs against certain classes are incoming.

Yeah I'm rolling 1500 resil right now, which means I may as well be throwing on my blood gear.

I've got 2600 resil atm and I think I'll end up at about 3300 once I finish out my blue set, but I still get facerolled like a little bitch, priests are so trash
