Looking for an Ipad converter with subtile or player

Ok i'll make this as clear as possible. I can almost watch any movies or videos on my Ipad exept 1 type : Anime : Why? subtitile

I always get my anime is .mkv 720p format, but the Ipad doesn't support .mkv

So I downloaded handbrake, but when it convert it suppress the subtitle even if i go to the subtitle tab, there's no way i can keep em

So I went and tried VLC for Ipad, problem found the app crash with MKV, doesn't help me

So I tried AVIDEMUX, which lets me convert any type to mp4 without loosing Quality, but same problem I loose my subtitles.

So what I need is simple, either a program that i can convert .mkv to .mp4 and keep subtitles or 2) An app on an IPAD to read MKV without crashing

    Thx!

If you don't mind streaming from your computer to your iPad, Air Video is great for that. Will convert the video on the fly and keep your subtitles. If you ever used PS3 Media Server it's essentially like that but for the iPhone/iPad. So stream over your home network or if you're not home, there's a feature in the server software to to set it up so use it outside of your home by just typing in the IP address and a password that you setup and steam over wifi where you are.

Yeah forgot to say that I had AirVideo

What i wanted was a program to convert into .mp4 that i can sync on my ipad so when i go somewhere where 3g/wifi is no available I can still watch them

    But found my solution

Inside AirVideo If i click convert it converts my .mkv to mp4 on the PC then I can add it to Itunes

Longer but hey it works lol

Really? I tried converting gg Bakuman mkv it burned it in nicely. You have to select the subtitle channel and check the box saying burn in the subtitles... did you?

Exemple for Dragon Ball 88 I have 3 options in Subtitle

    Foreigh Audio Search
    1 English (SSA)
    2 English (SSA)

I tried both english and hit Forced only Buried in and Default

I'll try with Buried In only

Ok octopus let's go the noob way shall wee?

Here is what I do to convert with handbrake, (tell me what I do wrong) PS I use Handbrake on loldows

    1) Click Source then file and i go get my .mkv
    2) I click browse and go put it where i wans it to save
    3) In the presets I choose Apple TV because I wanna stream it to my Apple TV too
    4) In the tabs I go to Subtitles
    5) In Track I choose Foreign Audio Search (Bitmap)
    Then i click Burned In

Since nothing else is available in the subtitles tab I click start to convert

Ater 10min i get my .m4v file and bang no subtitles

    5) In Track I choose Foreign Audio Search (Bitmap) <-- is this your subtitle track name? You should be able to see what subtitle track you have in the mkv when you play it normally (check the vobsub tray icon)

Another question, could you share me what preset you use?

I need a preset that will let me watch it on IPAD and APPLE TV in 720p

Because as for now they all reduce my size from the source

And If i take a 30min .mkv and manually change it to 1280x720 it takes like 6h to convert...

Would need a preset to convert it fast and keep it in 1280x720 if possible

    Thx

Hmmmm... I have a custom profile that I use for all my anime... not a preset.
